How do you cut up videos and take up screenshots for your paysites?

1. dvdshrink to rip dvd
2. mpegmediator to make an AVI
3. virtualdub to get exact frame screenshots
or you can use another program ( i can not remember the name of it, we have it in the office ) to automatically rip a picture at an interval you set

then, go to adobe photoshop, adjust brightness/contrast, and sharpen, resize

sounds good thanks ... so there is no back end content managment system that does it for u automatically

I usually cut from my editor, but a good tool for cutting wmv file is wmvsplitter, from boilsoft.com. WMV joiner is also pretty good, for putting them together.

For converting to WMV, we use "tmpgenc express 3" i think it is called. Works great in batch mode. For cutting AVIs into smaller MPEG files, like for galleries, we use the previous version of tmpgenc

I use videocharge. Input video, hit a button & it spits out clips/caps to your pre-set parameters.
