Buy a Mac, you can install xp on it for anything you need that isn't on the mac, no viruii no popup crap no spyware, my macs are running with no spyware/antivirus ect no problem for years!

So Milan from OC3 came by yesterday and looked at my PC. Now I feel like I have lost my touch completely - MOST LIKELY he found a fix for my PC!!! I will try his advice tomorrow (some new parts) and see how it goes.

Mine died yesterday too, went to costco and got a new gateway laptop with dual core and 2 gigs of ram. So glad i upgraded it was a blessing in disguise.

Buy a Mac. If you absolutely need Windows XP just install Parallels. Parallels is fucking amazing and runs Windows programs transparently.

After a 6 month old HP DV Laptop crapped out on me I went with a Core 2 Duo Macbook Pro and have not looked back. This thing is fucking amazing.

And for the record the only thing that I am missing on OS X is being able to test in Internet Explorer. Otherwise I have no reason for an XP install.
