Aussies kickin' ass

As some one predicted on this board awhile ago , the Aussies are kicking ass big time at the commonwealth games.
Whats the population of Aussieland ?? Maybe about 1/2 of that of Canada ? Aussies 59 medals ,England 46,Canada 40.
Okay,so Aussieland is surrounded by shark infested waters , so it only stands to reason that they'd be REALLY FAST swimmers .
But com'on already.This is a fucking massacre.

Holy fuck - I didn't know the Commonwealth Games were already on. That explains why there aren't any English at the European Champs right now.

Aussie swimmers rule, I swapped a shirt with M. Klim 6 years ago, and still have it ... XXL with a huge AIS on front

Given the results so far , maybe they should have gone to the Euro Champs instead !
How did you get to swap with Klim?

In Dec 95 - Jan 96 I went to the East Coast of Austraila for training (I'm a swimmer too) and we had the opportunity to swim at the NSW State Champs that were held in the Olympic pool in Sydney.

Micheal was there too and I simply walked up to him and asked if we could swap our club shirts, lol.

That shirt is sacred to me !

So bhutocracy,
what's the population of Australia ?
I'm curious as to the medal count on a per capita basis . It must be astronomical !

so we're not that small.. i mean yeah we'd all fit in new york but still compared to england and canada etc we're not crazy small.. one third of the population of england and two thirds of the population of canada..

it's 1 medal in 334175 people.. but wait until it's over.. we haven't even done the swimming yet.. there is one contry that absolutely creams all the others in a per capita tally.. i forget who it is though.. maybe it was in the olympics.. but it was crazy..

Dude... I think I swam at NSW champs in Jan 96... I must have seen you there! -- what club shirt did you swap with him? I think I have seen him wearing yours around!

On the Commonwealth Games - Thorpe is a freak - 7 golds for him!

There's been a couple of events where australia has taken out the trifecta and got gold, silver AND bronze, it's amazing to see such a depth of talent.

The AIS has lost a bucket of funding after the Sydney Olympics so it will be interesting to see how long the winning streak lasts.

Hehe, what's up Scoobs - long time no hear ! How's your little one doing ? Let's get in touch sometime...
I swapped my tomato red DSW12 club shirt with him, you might have seen him wearing it, cuz he had it on for a day or two.

Ian is really kicking ass again. 3:40,08 in the 400, that's madness. How the fuck are normal people supposed to catch up to that ?
