The downside is getting fat off all that Poi, but at least Amp is happy. He sent me a recent pic of himself:

Yes, that's me. I've put on a few pounds, but my heart is strong and I can handle it.

But the oxygen tube was just because I was running down the beach, there was no laughing gas in there I swear!

As long as you're happy, that's all that matters.

Weight is just a frame of mine, that's what all my friends at extreme weight watchers say.

We have all the things you mentioned from Maui - plus +++

I'd been out gardening the last 2 days and came accross a good number of centipedes - just that here in OZ they don't have bright red legs so they're even harder to spot in a pile of dirt. Might even mistake them for a fat worm if you only see their head.

And now (what we call 'winter') is the only time to do some serious gardening, because later in the year you have to be careful with snakes, too!

Just a few: brown snakes, copperheads, red belly black snakes, clarence river rough scale, carpet snakes, and numerous tree snakes. Brown snakes and clarence river rough scale are bloody aggressive and can grow up to 10 feet long. I'd been once chased by a brown for 20 or 30 metres uphill (downhill you don't have a chance), another time I picked up a small one in a pile of garden mulch - that went flying real fast ;)

A few years ago I drove at night along a country road, and just behind a crest there was this carpet python stretching across the entire road: as thick as a man's leg, around 8-9 metres long (that's about 30 feet) - no chance to brake so I drove straight over it - it slowly moved on without any sign of damage!

But I don't mind - just have to get used to them!
I still prefer it here to the cold and wet winters in Germany :) Brrr - all these grey and unpleasant days.

we were supposed to have some hurricane come through here last weekend... Hurricane Douglas I think it was... but it crapped out and went north of the islands.... great right? Wrong. That thing totally fucked up our weather here.... it's been fucking humid as hell for days... like, can't breathe kinda humid.... power went out tonight from everyone running their AC's tryin' to stay cool.... and it stinks like dead fucking fish outside.

Not only that, but these bastards:

http://www.opticalamplitude.com/stuff/centipede.jpg

are common here. That's right.... fucking COMMON. Killed one just two nights ago here.... for those of you unfamiliar, that's a fucking centipede. Yes they bite. And it feels somewhat very similar to a shotgun blast. Anywhere from 2 to 14 inches here.

Then there's the fucking Cane Spiders.... roughly about the size of a baseball, jet black, and fast as fucking greased lightning.

And of course the roaches.... about as big as your thumb..... and they fly.

Never mind the scorpions.... they're not too common. Or the sharks..... mostly tigers attacking surfers..... and rare.

But all in all.... still wouldn't trade it for anywhere else.... hehehe...... :winkwink:

Da surf kicks ass!!!!!

Holy mother of shit... I fucking hate bugs. I could never live somewhere that an alien bug like that could live in my house.
