It is getting ridiculous... You can't open your mouth (or lay a finger on the keyboard) these days.

Why is everybody so ready to examine every word in search of a possible negative interpretation?

Life will pass these people by I think.

The only time I've ever heard the word Jap used towards me in a derogatory way was... "You slanty eyed Jap".

Jap in itself isn't a slur, in this day and age.

I think it's just a strawman argument to take away from your post on jap cars.

About Irish jokes and not being offended. Here is a good one. No offence intended:

Irish little boy is walking home from school when a Brit kid shouts: " moneyfucker", the Irish kid gets mad and beats the shit out of the other kid. As he walks on he is thinking : "Yeah Mommy is gonna be soooo proud I beat the Brit kid to pieces". The kid gets home, greets his Ma and tells her how he won the fight, then she beats the shit out of him for ruining his school uniform and new shoes screaming: "DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH THAT COST ME?????!!!!"
