PSD To Vector

Well I thought any normal design company would know that 80% of printers require the files in vector format, anyway does anyone know any conversion apps or tips or does it simply have to redone in AI etc?

Thanks

As far as I remember Corel has such a tool (perhaps not for PSD but for other raster formats like TIFF, TARGA etc). Adobe Illustrator has it too. I mean the Live Trace tool (http://www.adobe.com/uk/products/ill...or_content.pdf).

Ya, cuz halftones are new... what are you smoking?

Not sure if they even make it anymore, but Adobe Streamline is probably what you are looking for.

most printers do prefer artwork as curves, but as long as the psd's were properly designed, with enough resolution you should be fine. Most of the programs out there that will convert your raster art to curves are going cause you to lose too much data from the images.
