So one of the most important physicists alive considers it a valuable use of his time to record lines for stupid American cartoons (2 Simpsons, 1 Futurama), when they could just buy one of those voice synthesizers and pretend it's him, and noone would know the difference?

Who the fuck cares. Maybe he enjoys the shows. It is his time after all and he has already more than given what can or could be expected of any man.

It is like G, they send him the lines. He then has them programed into his little voice PC. Walla, it is perfect the very first time.

In reality I am surprised with what he has been willing to share, what he has done, and what I feel he must be holding back. I would never expect him to just sit around all day pondering everything and concern himself with the time he is waisting doing anything else from eating some fruit loops to answering yet another near stupid explanation by yet another reporter who really does not get it.
