What's the best Bitorrent client?

I'm trying to find out what's the hot client for 2007. What are you using and why is it better than EDonkey?

uTorrent, hands down.

Why? Because it is a lot less of a resource hog.

BitComet is faster than Utorrent, and I like it's search feature and interface a lot more.

I guess bitcomet is a resource hog if you're still rocking a 386.

uTorrent as most have said. I have never had a problem with it since I switched to it from Azureus.

Also, a friendly reminder:

Remember to defrag your HD after using any torrent client for heavy downloads.

UTorrent huh? Ok.

I was leaning towards Bitcomet because of the search feature since I have a hard time finding good torrents quickly.

I keep hearing it's a resource hog and my main computer is getting closer to the retirement home every day so that may not be a good thing.

I just started using UTorrent and I am happy. I used to use Azereus, but java is too resource heavy and crashes sometimes and the simplistic TorrentStorm that I used previously is discontinued anyway.

Trust me (us) and give uTorrent a try. It's like the perfect program. No bugs, no bloat, lightweight, resource friendly, intuitive as hell. I wish all programmers would keep it simple like uTorrent does.

Try uTorrent. You'll notice the difference almost immediately.

Also, torrents are not only to pirate software, content, and music. Everyone here should know that many Linux distributions are downloaded via Bittorrent, as well as other GNU software.

Additionaly, if you use it right, you can use it to spread promo content and increase revenue to your sites as well as brand them. GTS offers this and I think there's another company also doing this, although the name slips my mind.

I use and love uTorrent.

News tidbit:
BitTorrent, Inc. acquired uTorrent last month.

Quote:
BitTorrent, Inc. has taken the next step ? the acquisition of uTorrent. In a joint announcement made today, the two firms have publicly solidified the merger. 'Together, we are pleased to announce that BitTorrent, Inc. and uTorrent AB have decided to join forces ... BitTorrent has acquired uTorrent as it recognized the merits of uTorrent's exceptionally well-written codebase and robust user community. Bringing together uTorrent's efficient implementation and compelling UI with BitTorrent's expertise in networking protocols will significantly benefit the community with what we envision will be the best BitTorrent client.
