Under my personal name about 500, with partners in excess of 3000.

If you have that many names.. :2 cents: Hit up Bari from Moniker ICQ 241-012-785 and I'm sure they will work you out a good deal on transferring your names to them. Will be worth while to at least talk to them. I think you will save some money and get better service.

this is true.

i had probs and ICANN ignored requests.

in the fine print of the website there should be a name and address for the agent for process, if you don't see it have your attorney research their articles of incorporation---the state they are incorporated in requires an agent for process server to initiate lawsuits.

immediately pay an attorney a retainer of about $500 to send a certified letter to this person, return receipt certified.

threaten to sue for all losses, the number should exceed 10K if no paysites, and 50-100K+ if paysites are involved depending on revenue.

if you actually lose valuable domains because you are unable to renew let them know you will sue for additional damages.

the key is to notice them up now, not later.

then watch things happen quickly.

Yep, I'd get a lawyer to write a letter asap...from my experience in this biz, you have to show people that trying to fuck with you is not a good idea. It's not like a lawyer could do wonders, but often it's sufficient to show that you don't fear a legal battle...which would cost them money as well.

Everything you just said I have done at least 15 times. WAIT WAIT WAIT and then the "services are down", call again same EXCUSE same result, WAIT WAIT WAIT the services are down. :mad:

One time I called RegFly forwarded my call to some dude and he said he didn't work there and that sometimes he gets the phone calls forwarded to him from RegFly support and he doesn't know why. Then he told me they suck. What the hell do I do? I need some Fris/Smokey help to get my God Damn domains back. LOL

ICANN should be renamed to ICANT LOL

didn't the sex.com legal stuff determine that domains are 'real' property? I would get a lawyer asap and get busy, injunctions etc . . :2 cents:

When you finally do get it, move everything to moniker or namecheap.

Weird how all those people who defended DirectNic are not found in this thread defending RegisterFly.

Hey guys.

I have problems to with regfly. they suck.
i tryed to move my names from my new registar. but can` tdo it without some transfer codes.
Anyone who can tell where to fing/get the code for each domain ?
is it the same code for all ( an account code of some sort ) or does every name has it own ?

Any help here would be very much apriciated.

gideongallery 01-20-2007 11:12 AM

initiate the tranfer out procedure for all domains that are about to expire

when you get the confirmation letter (the one that tells you to need to unlock your domain or the transfer would not be allowed)

attempt to login and use a screen grabber that shows your attempt and failure

forward the email attaching the screen grab that proves your inability to perform the action required for the transfer.

send a letter to support (cc your lawyer)

1. informing them that their "server outage" is preventing your from doing transfer out process.
2. formally request that the initiate the administrative override that would unlock your domains so that the transfer out could happen

unless icann has change the requirements for becomming a registra they have to have such functionality.

They will make you jump thru hoops to get it used. for example i need to fax them a noterized letter of consent to unlock the domains.

they don't have an auto-renew option so you don't have to worry about them expiring while this gets sorted out?

Having a rep on GFY equates to being credible? DirectNIC has a rep here who is a former adult industry big shot, and look what happened with Slick's domains.

This isn't an attack on Moniker, just an attack on fallacious assumptions.

The only way I've gotten support thru RegisterFly is to go through their ticket system. Since you can't access your account, I'd create a new account and open a support ticket and put your actual login in there. And yes, I'm moving everything away from them in the next week or so. They're horrible.

any update on this???? did you sort it out?

Theo 01-21-2007 07:36 AM

those about to expire are not transferable and any transfer as pointed out already requires the domains to be unlocked + you'll need access to your account to approve any trasnfer request.

let us know what happened

Dvae 01-23-2007 06:56 PM

From the Registerfly Knowledge Base
Pretty funny.

:: Question
Does the support staff actually value me as a customer? I've had problems with other companies in the past that just didn't want to help out after the sale was made. Is registerfly.com like others or will they still be at my side to help me long after I make my purchase?

:: Answer
Once you're a customer with us we hope that it will be for as long as possible. We will do whatever we can to help you out even long after you buy your domain name/s. Even if you only have one domain name we will still treat you with respect and in a friendly manner, , no matter your volume of questions. We understand that setting up a domain name isn't very easy for everyone and we will always be here to help you. Don't forget that we care about you as a customer and a person and we will help you as fast as we can. Please be patient and remember that once you purchase one of our products you're now part of our family.

micker 02-02-2007 06:17 PM

I spent 2 hours on hold getting bounced around over there. I only have about 200 domains registered there, so I'm probably not one of their bigger customers, but still, this is pathetic... While on hold I filed complaints with the NJ attorney general and the NJ BBB...

This is a class action lawsuit waiting to happen.... Never use RegisterFly for anything...
