want to talk to you before they start sending traffic, or f.e. get members area access, custom tools made etc?

Personally when I sign up to a program, in 99% of cases I never want anything, I just start sending some traffic like I planned. No need to talk to the reps, in fact I don't like talking to them...

I very rarely contact support and when I do, then it's about changing my payment details usually or little things like that.

But looking at GFY, it looks like most affiliates prefer to somehow be in regular touch with sales reps or program owners, and everyone wants tome custom promo tools made, extra content etc

Never happened here. They sign up and either send traffic or they don't.

most who signup will send traffic but then again if their traffic will be tgp mgp yes they will want access to grab and cut their own content, hosting etc and I dont mind at all

I'd say maybe 2% ever send more than 100 hits, and of those 2% maybe 10% contact me for anything...but that's just MY experience. Then again, those who do contact me usually end up sending traffic and not just waste my time...as I did for karups guys a year back, sorry. I feel bad. Wasted their time and never got around to sending them traffic, gotta change that at some point..

I usually initiate contact when a new webmaster signs up. I want to make sure they are sending their hard earned traffic to the sites in our portfolio that will give them the best VPC.

I usually contact the people that sign up just to let them know who I am and that I'm available to help them if they need anything. I like the people who I'm working with to know that I'm there to help them make money too. It has been my experience though that most people who sign up don't really need anything so they don't respond to my emails. But then again a lot of the time those people aren't the ones sending much traffic either.
