If Bob Dole can do it.

I used to really dislike Dole until I seen him doing a bunch of color commentary and shit on comedy central. He actually a pretty funny motherfucker.

Yes he is.

When Dole ran for the Presidency, with hindsight, his advisers where heavily critisized for not allowing Dole to be Dole.

He was known to everyone, that personally knew him, to be a very humorous guy.

I would never have guessed it until he left the Senate and started making appearances on TV shows, and commercials.

I always thought he was an uptight asshole.

I try to pay attention. My wife seldom enters my domain, as my TV is almost always tuned to C-Span, CNN, FOX News, Political Talk, etc.

She likes the sitcoms and movies, so she spends her time in her room.

Hmm...maybe that is why we have always gotten along so well.

Are you happy that you made the move?

If I remember correctly didn't you move from San Francisco?

If so, are you missing the bay area at all?

Well about fifteen years of the marriage, I was still in the military and was out of country more than I was in country, so I guess the moral of the story is; the best way for a marriage to have longivity is to spend alot of time apart.

How many times for you?

Actually I am on my second marriage. I was married to my first wife for 3 1/2 years, but we were only together for about nine months.

0 baby!

Will never fall into that trap.

Luckily I realized long ago that marriage only serves to hold men down. Name me one benefit to a man for getting married.

NO WAY a woman is going to take half of what I busted my ass for. She would die before she enjoyed a single cent of my money.

Well give me some time to think about it and I will provide you with a benefit...say I get back to you in 30 days.

A school friend of mine is worth several million, has been married for 46 years, and has been saying for the past 20 years, or longer, that he would divorce her, except he does not want her to have a dime of his money.

He currently has her in a rehab facility. He has a friend who is the local judge, and he and the judge cooked up a scheme, and she thinks that she has to be in the rehab, but she could walk at anytime if she only knew it.

I have a girlfriend who eloped in vegas. Immediately following this, they decided to plan the big fairy tale wedding after all.

An entire year of "big wedding" planning immediately followed their shotgun wedding. Thousands of dollars and hours of pain. She drove me fucking nuts needing help with the details. Sobbing, crying phone calls at 7 am because invitations were going out late.

The huge wedding was great. It was fun, pretty, and it cost them close to 50K.

Less than a month after this, they seperated. The big wedding had completely stressed them out and after the fun was over, it seemed the marriage was as well.

Weddings are a joke anymore. People find a good fuck and think they need to marry them to keep the good fuck... ahaha, stupid people.

By the way [Labret], be careful of any living arrangements. You don't HAVE to be married for the chick to get a good chunk of your change. If you're living together in a marriage like fashion, some judges will consider that a marriage. Why in the fuck do we even have paper contracts anymore? There's always a way around them...

A lot of SNL hosts play the straight man. Dole actually has a pretty enjoyable sense of humor and played along with some of the jokes during some of his appearances on SNL (I think there were several, though I can't remember him being host).

McCain is singularly unhumorous, though. Can't imagine him appearing in drag like Giuliani, for example.
