The thing with this as i see it...
Im not American. I find it funny. I think we have this impression of stupid Americans because your President is a retard. The most powerfull man in your country (and the world) and there is so much material of him saying things that make him look thick.
Most Americans arnt stupid. There is a higher % of people in the USA who cant answer simple questions about the rest of the world. Thats because American media is so focussed on the USA that all they hear about is the states, so its not surprising that they dont know much about the world they live in. Most Americans never even leave the US. Most goods in the States are American. There far removed from Europe and the rest of the world in so many ways.
With the question "think of a country begining with the letter U", its actually natural not to think of your own country. I thought of Ukraine, not my own country United Kingdom. Because you imediatly start thinking about other countries.
Also, ask enough people these questions and you will get stupid answers. Now show us the material they didnt use.

And if you go in any other country in the world, and do the same type of interview to the same amount of people, definately you will get the same answers.Hell, if you come to my country the answers will be the same, does that mean that everyone is stupid?! It is not possible that no one from those people answered right!They have asked more than 200 people, and choose that worst 20 of them...so there you go, now everyone has a conclusion that Americans are stupid.
