We put the blinders on as a form of self preservation.
Some truths just hurt too much to accept, but it will always come out eventually once we are ready to face it.
However, the longer the lie carries on, the more it hurts in the end and the less likely it is that the damage will be able to be repaired.

not sure why it doesnt work on more phones..

Voice stress analyzers and body language can be used to detect lying.

Add in a lie detector machine, and the accuracy is very high.

Since the accuracy of polygraph is subpar, a 'handheld' machines accuracy would be abysmal at best. Though such machines sell surprisingly well for the novelty factor.

Damn! That could turn into a slippery slope of "Big Brother" being able to know your secrets.

Imagine if a cop pulled you over and had one of those things and could ask you 100 questions and take you in for setting off the detector. E.G. Do you know someone who has cocaine at their home?

I agree, would be cool tho ;)
