Discuss what's fucking going on, and which programs are best and worst. One-time "program" announcements from "established" webmasters are allowed. |

![]() For my gambling site/ebook I got this problem.
I have not been able to get a shitload of targeted traffic. Right now I get targeted SE traffic, buy from a few sites I found over the years to produce good sales and I have my affiliate program. but then it stops... I mean I do make good cash/sales but not recurring [thats why my main solution right now is to make a members site with reguarly updates and recurring cash for me] I have tried goto.. sucked I have tried googles per click... sucked (strange cuz my listings work!) my newest idea is to buy a few top spot banners at the hun and see if I get any sales ( I should i theory) I had a thinggy going with an online casino using my exit banner but after a few months they stopped and made their own "tips and tricks" page and a few other casinos followed them!!! ![]() So can anyone give me advice on how I can get more targeted traffic??? someone called topdog tried so sell me "fake" traffic here on gfy and ever since I have required ppl to send me traffic before pay.... people seems to fuck around alot these days! I would even consider somekind of joint venture if anyone could come up with idea for me that works (for over 2 years straight i convert 1-50 or better on banner click thrus) but its been impossible for me to grow the traffic! Vegas

I would seriously suggest NOT pre paying for traffic. The people who have confidence in their traffic always go on commission based (per signup, revshare etc), the people who want you to spend money before results are usually just scammers.
Of course, I'm sure there is always an exception to the rule. ![]() I've found Google traffic to be okay, although it usually takes a few tries at writing an ad before you have any results. I dont think there is any one solution for decent targeted traffic. Perhaps having a look at DMOZ or some such directory listing might be an idea? |

Do you have an affiliate program?
It seems to me that it would be better to have an affiliate program for something like this, and then you can concentrate on getting webmasters instead of customers. Also, do you have a newsletter? You could become an affiliate of other gambling programs and creatively advertise them to your existing customers and other members of a newsletter. Another possibility would be something like commision junction or one of those programs...where you pay webmasters a few cents per click and it's all tracked and managed by a third party who gets a percentage. If your site is converting it would be well worth it I think. One of the good things about these programs is that they are always advertising your program to their webmasters. |

Maybe you can buy a spot on this guys site
http://www.lasvegasadvisor.com ...I'm sure he does pretty well with the traffic...they've been running a show on the travel channel a few times this last week and they interviewed him and mentioned his site...also seen him on shows like dateline etc....I see his company name mentioned in the papers etc and on billboards around here in town as well. You are probably already aware of him...but if not maybe this could be a good start ![]() |

eroswebmaster: seen site but thanks I might try it out...!
r-c-e: yup! and tripple X yup! drumsicle: you are competely right... I have been paying upto $33 per sale to my new webmasters that sign up for 2 months now... got a few new webmasters.... but somehow its going to slow...im also starting a pay per click program simply because the larger sites will not take a per sign up deal.. now take http://www.assassinspicks.com i convinced them they could push me some sales and I could do vice versa... it took alot of networking but they agreed to try and it works like a charm.... but my point is I do not have 1 week or more for every webmaster that thinks per click is da thing when per signup will do just a good and will secure me from fraud.... I simply do not have the time to convince and show ppl my stats just to prove a point... (they could copy me...) but come up with a a few more ideas... ![]() Im all yours! |

We have done a little work with sex.com and my experience is this:
Unless you have very targeted, low cost keywords, you can/will spend money like its water, without actually reaching a large traffic base. Just a thought.... |
