Anyone else notice the "Muslim Prayer Room" in the new Bangkok airport?
Not that it's a bad thing, but it's on a huge sign as you depart the airport and the only other things on the sign are "Domestic Flights", "International Flights" and something else that is not prayer based and obviously unimportant if I can't remember it.
So there it is, no other religion prayer room listed (in a Buddhist country), but Muslims have a room they can pray in before they blow up, I mean before they fly. This sign really bothers me. It's most odd to see as you are about to get on a plane. Anyone have a pic of this? |

Muslim HAVE TO do it while it is not compulsary for other religions. (to pray) Thats why they have a special room for Muslim. I saw this type of room somewhere else too.
PS I'm buddhist.. You guys need a bit of the knowledge of other religions.

![]() Last I checked, the Koran was written before modern flight. But maybe my facts are wrong on that. But if that is the case, and it's not, why is it that ALL the airports in the world don't have a room just for them. |

It's not the fact that they want to pray, it's the fact that it's so in your face when you check in.
Given the state of the world right now, and the violence in southern Thailand with the Muslim extremists, it's very disturbing to see this when you walk into the aiport to fly out of there. |

You would never know it was there unless you went searching for it. I'm ok with that. But not this sign. Now, if it said only PRAYER ROOMS... different story. A lot of people want some comfort before they fly, that is understandable. ![]() This sign is huge by the way. |

I just recalled one guy in the parliament who had the big role in building the airport is muslim. (He was the head or president or whatever they call in the parliament hehehe he helped save like 100s million bahts when building the airport and prolly built these rooms too LOL)

the reason that muslims have prayer rooms is because their beliefs require them to kneel facing mecca at 5 specific times each day and pray.
the times of the day change depending on the season, because they are based on the position of the sun. most muslims will schedule flights/etc around prayer times so they do not miss these prayers, they are very important to them.

It's also because BKK is a major transit point for flights to/from Arab countries. As noted above, for Muslims prayer is obligatory. Why is it that western people are seemingly so squeamish when they see something being done for non-westerners? Maybe they should compensate for the percieved imbalance by putting in a special lavatory where the fat white sex tourists can get a blow job from a Thai girl... AR+

I think it is not the strangest thing, people might be scared of flying or whatever and want to make their peace with god before going. I imagine there would be Muslim prayer rooms in places like Heathrow and JFK, I also remember seeing some news of there being one in Ben-Gurion in Israel ![]() |

Muslims need to pray 5Times a day. That's why the room is there. It's better than scaring everyone by praying in the middle of a crowded room.

Its where it is, how big it is, and that there is no other room listed that bothers me. Not that they have the room. I have a problem with any race or any religion getting special treatment over another. Either you give a room to everyone, or don't put a muslim sign up that is 20 feet tall and a copy of the Koran for everyone to see. |

You can post any sign you choose as long as it does not agree with the view of the majority. Sad

I can't decide if you are just poorly educated or genuine bigot. BKK does have a problem , but the problem is: very small and poorly ventilated smoking rooms. |

Blowjob row hits Bangkok Airport "Angry whoremongers have slammed the bosses of Bangkok's new Suvarnabhumi Airport for ignoring the plight of weary travellers who want to get blown-off as they wait for connecting flights. Up the escalator from KFC, the legendary hair salon at the old Don Muang Airport used to pamper its patrons with a range of services that were seldom available in the Thai Royal Orchid Lounge. Sometimes, this even included a haircut. My informant discovered this by accident when a pretty stylist brushed some hair from his lap in a highly suggestive manner. Of course, this is the last thing anyone would expect at an international airport - even in Thailand - so he was caught completely off-guard. In a mild state of shock, he promptly paid for the haircut and walked out - only to regret his impulsiveness at the foot of the escalator. Slinking back into the salon was out of the question so he had to wait another couple of months before finally getting his pre-flight gobble. Like everything else at the airport, it was massively overpriced - but worth a go just for the novelty value. Instead of experiencing the very best in Thai hospitality, passengers arriving at Suvarnabhumi Airport now have to settle for a wank in the toilets - if they can find one. Red-faced officials at Airports of Thailand Plc (AoT) and King Power have yet to issue a statement about their latest blunder." http://www.mangosauce.com/sex/blowjo...ok_airport.php

The Muslims in southern Thailand are busy slaughtering the local Buddhists, and measures such as 'prayer rooms' are meant to placate them, to show how us infidels 'respect their sensibilities'
![]() However, perhaps a five year old child might like to tell these people that giving in to Muslim demands and terrorism only encourages......... more Muslim demands and terrorism. |
