Thats so true. Death and Grind have both just degenerated into insane amounts of growling and barking. I am convinced you could have a world class death metal band and with no actual lyrics, just amazingly layed growl work.
We got this local band called Saprogenic. Just some teenage white kids.
Mostly growling, and then for alot of it he hits this pitch, sound, that sound slike some sort of fucked up cricket sound. I have seen him do it live and it looks painful.
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.
Let me know what you guys think of this one...(Fletch, Labret, or anyone into death metal...)
Not sure how you could classify it...melodic/death metal...
Definitly one of the best drummer i've heard (that's a local band, I saw'em a couple of time in concert, pretty cool guys...)

Yeah it's pretty much an instumental band... The two guitar players are doing the vocal, but you can see that they put the music forward.... Glad you liked it... here's there website BTW..if you liked this song, you would pretty much like their stuff.... http://www.quovadis.qc.ca
mmm my sig was too big... no more cool animation but hey still! need php?ICQ: 94586959

No damn, thats not bad at all. They love the fuck out of the double bass though uh? Thats ok, so do I. I was expecting with the melodic nature of it that it would have that Euro screaming 80s metal style lyrics, Maiden style.
You ever sat and watch one of those bands that freak out on the double bass? I not a big fan of death that borders on grind, but I was at a show that Dying Fetus was playing and I was standing next to the stage. I never really seen anything like it. This guy was like a fucking machine. I figured some of these bands, grind esp, used drum machines. Some of them obviously do. Even my girlfriend who HATES death metal and grind, stood there and was like "damn".
Where are you from? You say they are local? You got the whole cd ripped to mp3?

$75, shit. That must be with the packaging. When I bought it CD's still came in those footlong cardboard boxes. I used to have it on my wall. My hometown bands were Sacred Reich, Flotsam & Jetsam. Later on Sepultura, Slayer and Megadeth (fart) all relocated to Phoenix at one point...

I think metal would kick way more ass if they just released insturmentals! Seriously, a lot of times the song kicks ass.... untill the dude comes in sounding like hes about to pass a stone.

I know that most of'em are using triggers...(QuoVadis and Cryptopsy's drummers are using'em...) but it's not really cheating..you still have to be fast as hell !

Yeah, I love metal. It's the modern day classical music, but when 90% of these guys get on the mic, they fuck up a good thing.
The music is okay.. But when the guy starts " singing " ? I just get turned off by it. Hell if that's all you have to do is go " dooooo doo drooo grooowww dooooo doo doooo ddoooo bowwwwwwwww boooooo rrrrrrroooooo " I could be famous metal singer

Sounds easy, but try to sing like that for a whole show( let's say 1 hour)...download a Dying Fetus song....(there's 2 singer)..one of them has the voice of an orc/ogre or whatever.... LOL
