Band Of Brothers weekend on the History Channel

Is anyone else watching this? My wife and I got it for my father in law 3 years ago but have never watched it. There is a marathon this week on the history channel. This is one of the best shows I've ever seen on WWII.

Yeah, it's based on Steven Ambrose's Band Of Brothers. He's one of my favorite history authors. The show is made by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg. From what I can tell it's written about veterans who are still alive from the 101 airborne. Very good show!

I have the collectors edition dvd thingie... got it for xmas last year... BEST series ever. I heard there was a rumor of another one being shot when they goto japan or something. But that was a while ago.

Ive personally seen the whole series 4 times now.

Band of Brothers is a great series. I missed in on TV when it first came out, but have since watched in on DVD a number of times since then.

It was sure was a different time and a different kind of war.
