Your favorite processor and why ?

In a thread By Evil Chris "CollegeFuckFest" he say's they see more sales with CC Bill then Website billing

I have been using CollegeFuckFest since the 1st of the year with good results. Now I'm sending more traffic and I want to make the most so I should start using CC bill inorder to do so ?

Is there not a set of guide lines for processors to follow ?
why are they not the same ?

Seems to me that if I send traffic to a site using:
Website Billing, Paycom or CCbill the results should be the same.

Cash is good. If they don't have cash, you don't want them as members anyways.

so you mean if I go with sites using Jesus Bill I would make even more?

But why is there a difference if a site is using CC bill or I-bill etc....how can the same site have different number of sales based on the processor ?

I dunno everyone tells me that CCBill scrubs harder but "it's worth it" ??? 'cause of chargebacks? I dunno -- I've just seen sites that "should" really convert like hot shit -- and they never seem to perform when CCBill is the processor... Maybe my traffic just SUX, but I've never found an affiliate program that used CCBill that really rocked... NEVER!

I dunno why CFF went to TripleX -- makes no sense -- CFF is the hottest shit on the net... Why do they need to partner up with anyone?

So you like me will keep using CFF but you will use the Website Billing link.

Still why is there a difference between any of them....there are more than just a couple.

It's a good question RAM...as you have probably noticed, most partnerships use Epoch, apparently because they accept more transactions? But why and how? If it's true, which I don't know, why others aren't able to accept as much? It's a good question...

First thing that comes to mind is the fraud scrubbing. There might be different systems that the processors use. Differences within those systems might be that one ignores or gives a lower score to one variable vs. another, the use or acquirement of available information, different refund/chargeback databases, etc
If you need a good company for check writing services, then check out checkissuing, and for webhosting, check out Phoenix NAP

I can answer that. All the other processors (at least most of 'em) use the same back end. Epoch does not. We have our own way of accessing the credit card transaction super highway and that gives us more flexibility than the other guys.

Each processor has their own fraud DB and criteria for adding/deleting from it. That's another factor.

Add to this equation the new launch of epassporte and now you have a way to avoid the fraud DB's, bad email lists, and yes... even the blocked countries. Epassporte launched 7 days ago and has already issued Virtual Visa's in 79 countries! Not too shabby heh?

Each processor has their own unique talents. However, Epoch has worked very hard, especially during the past three years to provide every tool imaginable and suggested to give webmasters the edge they need to succeed. We're pretty stict too, but the long term goal and the bottom line is what drives us. And it should be what drives you too.

Simple, I signed up with a site last month with epoch to check out a member areas. It didn't ask me for all the info other processors do. I gave my small amount of info and it got me in. Didn't ask for CVV2 number and such like a lot of processors do. This was an Ezclick page though, so maybe that is different. But still, a lot less then any other big processor asks for. Less info the surfer has to search for, the less likely they are to fuck up or give up.

Well, i know what we use. I can't say what other processors are using.

When we began, we outsourced our credit card scrubbing to another firm. We analyzed how well it was working and based on what we saw rejected and accepted; we decided that the scrubbing could use some improvement. We began designing an in-house system, which would score transactions based on many variables. Once we began using and fine-tuning it, we decided to offer it out as a product. Its recent growth has been significant, actually. It?s called vscrub

The only data a surfer is "required" to submit is card num, expiry, and zip code... Valid email addy on some orders, and CVV2 on specific bins. There's a bit more complexity but I'm not going to give up the shop.

Other data such as phone number, address, name, etc... is collected as the WM deems. If credit and CB's are not creepin' up on you, minimal data is probably OK. However, the more "accurate" data tha can be collected, the easier it is to fight friendly fraud. There's just no way to qualify if someone's name is actually Daffy Duck or not.

Let us handle this for you. We'll help you along the way.

im with RAM,when you send quality, targetted traffic to a site using epoch as primary processor you can see some great ratios.

                                                Ram,

Especially since the new Visa rules in November, more and more webmasters are switching from IPSPs to gateways using their own merchant accounts. The reason.... more control and less $$$. Some of the hottest programs on the net are on top right now because they have their own merchant accounts, use a gateway (Such as Netbilling), and have full control over their own level of scrubbing. This makes a difference in conversion ratios. I am not saying that these programs do not use the fraud tools we provide. They are able to choose their scrubbing based on the amount of actual and friendly fraud coming through their sites. It is a known fact that niche specific sites have less fraud then general sites for example, and when a merchant can decide for himself what he/she will accept and decline, it makes for a powerful program. Check out a few programs which are converting like mad right now such as Spicecash.com, Fetishcash.com, Dannicash.com, Partnerpayouts.com, and Herbalo.com, all using their own merchant accounts, just to name a few.

Not to knock any of the IPSPs as it is their jobs to protect their merchant accounts by turning up the scrub on account when they feel they need to. However, it is nice to be able to make that decision for yourself, don't you think so?
