I'm not looking for custom Icons. I want the icon for .Gif files to have a photoshop gif icon rather than a IE icon. I know in the properties of any file I can change what proggy opens it, but how do I change the icon it displays?

you in xp home or pro? because Ive got xp on 5 machines here, all of em, if you right click a desktop icon, go to properties, then... the center tab will have an option to change the icon.
Make sure what you are trying to change is a shortcut and not the program itself, and make sure you're logged in as admin. It outta work, it worked for me earlier |
