I just got back from a trip to Europe and I have to say the best thing about being Canadian is telling people you are Canadian when you travel. As soon as people find out we are Canadian they become much more friendly. Canada really does have a great reputation around the world

Absolutely. I should have said having the passport as wellOriginally posted by pornopeteThe passport. I've travelled quite a bit and have never had a problem. Never needed a visa to go anywhere.
The only country it's a problem is Brazil (i believe we need a visa for Brazil)

Agreed. Except in the US. I have a Canadian flag tag on my suitcase, and I've gotten more sighs and rolled eyes from taxi drivers in the states since 9/11 than I care to list.I just got back from a trip to Europe and I have to say the best thing about being Canadian is telling people you are Canadian when you travel. you need a visa for china as well.
Why is it that you can travel anywhere in the world and have a friendly reception as a Canadian, but travel to the USA and you get a rude one?
I don't hold anything against Americans personally, I am curious what crimes Canadians have committed that is bothering Americans?Comment

I am from Australia and I share your veiw. I have relatives who reside in Calgary, and they are the warmest most caring of all relitives i correspond with on the net. I have to say that any Canadians I have been lucky enough to meet have been warm and caring, but this is not to say that they do not exist. Australians have a great reputation and are just about regarded as highly, would u agree?Comment

No disrespect against Canada, but the country that is universally admired the world over is the USA. The reasons are too numerous to list, but here are a few: saving Europe in WWII, going to the moon, hosting world class universities, and fostering an exceptional entrepreneurial culture. Of course, there are also those who are jealous of our success and who oppose our freedoms, particularly in the Mideast. We certainly have our critics, especially of late.
One great thing about being Canadian is that you reap all of the benefits of trading with America, your biggest trading partner. If you are a Canadian in the adult business, where do most of your customers live?
Don't forget who is Your Daddy.

You obviously don't travel much. Americans are not very well liked around the world. They are viewed as loud obnoxious ignorant people. I've met a whole pile of people from all over the world in my travels, and I have got to say from a Canadian standpoint, Aussies are some of the coolest shits I've ever hung out with. Canada & Australia a very compatible when it comes down to it. You're basically our long lost brothers from the lower hemisphere. but you're a bunch of filthy criminals...I am from Australia and I share your veiw.
