access to key management requires entering a "secure" mode wich engages additional features ( per VISA specifications ) to prevent master key tampering.
entering key management requires 2 16 digit passwords.. by default these are 000000 and 000000hatisblack at yahoo.comComment

this is the silly machine that made the news recently because all the master passwords are stupidly silly ..
master default passwords are like 555555 333333 and 000000
pretty hard to guess
If you get into one you can dial up your home computer and change the logo's to your own custom ones...
It would be cool for someone too hook it up for a show with aan adult theme..
You can also add custome messages to the receipt and give away gift certificates with the moneyhatisblack at yahoo.comComment

What about insurance on that thing?
Lets say you have $14,000 in cash loaded up? How much do you pay an insurance company to have it insured in case you get it stolen.
Thats my biggest fear, is insurance. Although if you have it in a mall or something in sure that isnt a problem.
And how much do you pay the location owner to put your ATM in thier location.
Im sure if i owned a mall, companies would be competing over a chance to have thier machine in my mall, so i would definatley charge.Care about me?

So first off, with insurance - you basically only are insuring the machine itself. There are companies out there that offer insurance for ATMs, and it is not expensive. Ive never seen it more than $200/year.What about insurance on that thing?

You can insure the money as well, but most owners don't for the following reason. Just have it refilled by Armored Transport. They will insure the funds during transport and loading. While it is in the machine, the chances of it getting stolen (and successfully doing so) are extremely slim. If you install it correctly, the farthest most thieves will get it moving the ATM off its base - then give up. It is a 200lb machine, and when you load the bottom with 400lb weights, its not going anywhere.
As for location owners, like I said - if you are a good salesperson you can convince the owner that you are actually doing them a favor - and sometimes not pay them anything at all.
If you do pay them, its usually a small rent fee OR a per surcharge fee (for instance $0.25 per surcharge)
If you can get it in a location like a mall, yes you will be competing. But it is mostly whoever gets their first - because no ATM owner is going to pay the mall more than they are going to earn, so there is a limit.
Any other questions?

So its not really worth getting any insurance at all. Because why pay insurance on the machine. If the machine get stolen, you get you $4000 back, but the $20k+ inside is gone.
I used to live in Van Nuys, and there was this shopping mall/area that had an ATM that had the money stolen 3 times before they took it away. Hence my question.Care about me?

I actually already have it set up, but it doesnt take more than 1 hour really. It always comes with a detailed manual - and you can fully understand the operations in about 2 hours.
To get it running, you just do basic setup. Then you find a location. Once you have a location, you get everything setup.
You will need to find a processor, and I can get you in touch with some. You then get verified by Coredata (it might be FirstData now) and they are the network who process all of the transactions for all ATMs, basically a third party.
Any by the way, you pay nothing to the processor, nor to FirstData. FirstData makes money their own way, and your processor makes money on the transfer of the transaction. None of your money goes to them, so the surcharge is 100% yours.
If you need more details, hit me up on ICQ.

No no, the insurance is totally worth it. By $200/year I meant that you can insure both the machine and the cash inside. $20-30 a month for full insurance is not bad at all.So its not really worth getting any insurance at all. Because why pay insurance on the machine. If the machine get stolen, you get you $4000 back, but the $20k+ inside is gone.

The master keys are psycho. When you receive them, one half of the master key is sent to you. The other must be sent to a complete different address. When you enter your half of the master key, you must do it alone. You must then destroy your copy. The other half must be entered by another person, and the same done with their copy.this is the silly machine that made the news recently because all the master passwords are stupidly silly ..

I suppose you mean per swipe? Thats up to you, most machines charge between 1.50 and $2, but you can charge anything you like. The full amount is your profit.
So lets say you charge $2 per transaction. You have a good location so you are giving the location owner $0.50 per transaction as payment for rent. Each time a customer uses the machine, the full $2 will go into your account as profit. Then at the end of the month, you can just cut the location owner a check for whatever amount you owe.
Average ATM will do 15-20 transactions per day, unless you can get a really good spot.

Yeah, its pretty secure. ;)
The machine you have was on the news recently because some guy ripped one off they had on the news recently because it had insecure default passwords that would allow a person to change the bills the machine was dispensing , so it thought it was giving out $5 bills but it was actually pumping out $20's . The master key isnt needed to access those functions.. i'm looking at the manual for it right now. The machine itself isnt insecure in any way other than the defaul passwords ( that can simply be changed )hatisblack at yahoo.comComment

Oh, you are talking about the master password, not the master keys. Yeah, the master password should be changed by the owner. If it is not changed, then you have issues. To get into a certain important parts of the machine, you need 2 separate secure passwords that are entered one after the other. A person much know the master password to get into the setup, as well as both of those keys. If you make it simple, you are stupid. If you make it hard, you are pretty well off.
Then there is the password for the lock. And to get to the lock you need to unlock the case with a specific key. Hehe, its pretty secure when you really get down to it. The people who get robbed and have their machines altered are the ones who don't take the time to make everything secure. Therefore, they deserve to get screwed, haha. :D

Are those things insured, federally or otherwise?Mine currently holds about $14,000. If you buy another cassette for it, the limits depend. Depending on the cassette you buy, you can set this ATM to hold in the upwords of $50,000. Average with a 2nd cassette is about $22,000 though. (This is all assuming you are loading it with $20 bills)

Yes, everything is fully up to date. It is a newer machine.
Just to keep everyone informed, the machine will also come with full instructions - along with a computer program that explains in detail the industry, the machine and has tons of useful tips for making it a success. I will also personally answer any questions the buyer has.
I have had a few serious inquiries, but I am going to lower the price down to $3300.
If you need it shipped, I will work on getting the lowest shipping price - and we can try to work out a deal that benefits both of us.
