:mad Fuck Google Adwords

I have been using adwords for 3 years and have spend a shitload of money with them and made a lot of money. The addition of the recent quality score bullshit and so called teen porn concept started costing me way more time than it was worth. I stopped using them three weeks ago and found I'm getting a hell of a lot more ROI using other PPC services.

I can't believe a internet company that promotes freedom of speech bans ads because they contains word like Girls Gone Wild words you can see on your local tv station any night of the week.

Sorry I just needed to vent.

Yea, it blows. It's even affecting site optimizations for those *flagged* words, rather avoid it and find something worth the bit of attainable traffic early that is still relevant. Surfers will eventually learn new lingo once we start teaching them alternative associations. Than again 'gals gone wild' doesn't quite have that ring to it lol

Can you use adwords on a site that is non-adult but has teen in the domain? I was going to develop hotteennews.com as a news blog but I want to be able to generate adwords income...

It's Google AdSense that you are referring to and yes you can use it on non-adult teen sites without a problem.

Regarding Google AdWords, Quality Pricing is very unstable and untrustable. It does not always matter of wich quality your site is. If your site is affected by Quality Pricing to the max it may be accepted when you move the same site to a new domain and start a new campaign with the exact same configuration!

So I'm not feeling alone here. If Adwords says the quality score is poor they jack keyword price up. I have had several keywords with a 5% ctr and they will up the keyword price. I change the price and they up it again. If the quality is poor why show it at ANY price?

Google adwords is a joke. Not worth it at all with all their stupid restrictive rules.

I just got this email from AdWords:

SUGGESTIONS:
-> Content: At this time, Google policy does not permit the
advertisement of websites that contain "teen porn concepts". As noted
in our advertising terms and conditions, we reserve the right to
exercise editorial discretion when it comes to the advertising we
accept on our site.

Came here to confirm this was a big change in AdWords... sure enough the rest of you got it too I see. Very strange. I didn't expect them to be like that. So even Google is getting really tough.

It's been like that for while. Even if your site doesn't promote teens they don't allow any implication that model is underage. Just using the words young or girl are enough for them to knock you back. I refered to a model who was clearly late twenties as a "young lady" and got the "teen porn concepts" BS from them. I decided to remove all the instances of these words as it wasn't a teen site anyway and emailed them, then they re-evaluated it and let the ads run.
