I'm having a Big Mac Attack! after reading this thread.

Jace 01-03-2007 08:06 AM

I completely agree

growing up mcdonalds was always a totally clean restaurant with pretty damn good food that was ALWAYS hot and fresh

now every mcdonalds that I go into to is a mess, almost never clean, and you only get hot fresh fries 1 out of 3-4 times

JUSTB 01-03-2007 08:23 AM

I am curious if you saw any pieces of actual apple in the pie?

bl4h 01-03-2007 08:33 AM

When I worked at mcdonalds (when i was 16) the rule was an hour I think. We threw a LOT away. It was a shame.

Youre bitching about how unfresh they are. The things are frozen and thrown into a bag and into a big box. When you open the box theyre all frozen together so you have to smack them around to break them free. Theyre probably months old by the time they get put into the oven. I just cant see why this would bother you :1orglaugh

4 hours isnt anything since theyre kept hot in a holding oven.

tony286 01-03-2007 08:35 AM

I bet those apple pies sit even longer

Agent 488 01-03-2007 08:38 AM

I love in and out burger, the secret menu is what to order from and their fries are the freshest you can get, they slice the potatos right in front of you.

X by Y
X meat patties and Y slices of cheese (for example, a 3 by 3 or a 2 by 4)
Double Meat
Two meat patties without cheese.
Triple Meat
Three meat patties without cheese.
Animal Style
A mustard cooked beef patty served on a bun with pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, extra spread and grilled onions. Any burger (including veggie and grilled cheeses) may be made this way.
Flying Dutchman
Two meat patties, two slices of melted cheese and nothing else.
Protein Style
Instead of a bun, the burger is wrapped in lettuce. Any burger (including veggie and grilled cheeses) may be made this way.
Veggie Burger (Wish Burger)
A burger without the meat and cheese.
Grilled Cheese
Two slices of melted cheese, tomato, lettuce and spread on a bun, with no meat.
Extra Everything
Adds extra spread, tomato, lettuce, and onions (regular or grilled).
Fries "Light"
Almost raw fries that are cooked for less time.
Fries "Well"
Fries that are cooked longer to be extra crisp.
Cheese Fries
Fries with two slices of melted cheese placed on top.
Animal Style Fries
Fries with cheese, spread, and grilled onions.
Neopolitan Shake
All three shake flavors (strawberry, vanilla and chocolate) combined in one shake.

v4 media 01-03-2007 08:52 AM

They lost my custom when they stopped doing shakes.. best thing about the place.

B O B 01-03-2007 09:05 AM

damn...
I thought this thread was about the Padres...not McDonalds...either way he is rolling over...

pocketkangaroo 01-03-2007 09:11 AM

The change has actually been in the last few years. Their apple pies were always perfect and now they do get old and crappy. I used to enjoy their dollar menu too but they really went cheap on the burgers and other crap in that too.

They're good for two things now: Shamrock and Eggnog milkshakes

It was too cold to go to the bank, and I did not feel like using my credit card to make a $1 purchase.

who stopped doing shakes?

Jace 01-03-2007 11:29 AM

yeah, no shit, we still get shakes all the time at mcdonalds

the machine is broken half the time we go though...haha

BigCashCrew 01-03-2007 11:51 AM

Ray Kroc was in the real estate business.

I stopped eating McDonald's a long time ago. My mom fed that shit to us every day. Because of McDonald's I learned how to cook for myself at a young age. lol

It's a shame the apple pies aren't even good anymore.

He may be talking about the specialty shakes. They stopped doing those at a lot of McDonalds throughout the country. If they try and pull that shit in Chicago, God as my witness I will strike someone down.

ArkansasDave 01-03-2007 12:02 PM

Mc Donalds was my first job when i was 16 and it was like friggin working for the military man. They let nothing slip by.
Different now.
I just got held-up by the Hamburgular

Hint, if all you ever ate was salami and cheese sandwiches for 30 days straight you would see the same effects. Hell try just leafy green salads with no protiens for the same period and see what happens to you.

Have you even seen the movie? I don't think that eating a Salami and cheese sandwich everyday for 30 days would destroy your liver, but I could be wrong.

Hint.... He didn't just eat one type of sandwich, he ate every single item on the menu, including the salads.

Sly 01-03-2007 01:34 PM

In n Out is good, but not good enough to wait 30 minutes in line for FAST FOOD. Talk about great perception and marketing though.

Carl's Jr. is probably my favorite fast food place. They have a FANTASTIC 99c spicy chicken sandwich, and its a big sandwich too. When I was a kid they were owned by another company (or at least Hardee's was), then the current company came in and created the new "star" image and now I think they kick ass, great change.

Wendy's has the best dollar menu, hands down. I've always liked Burger King, too. Not many Dairy Queen's or A&W's around anymore, but they both have great burgers too.

McD's I never go to. Maybe once every 2 years because there's no other option.

Yes, but its all processed crap food, none of it is good for you. Did you see all of the soda he was drinking?

The guy never ate that stuff to begin with. His body wasn't used to that. You can't eat good and then suddenly eat nothing but crap and expect not to get sick. I'm sure the same thing would happen with any fast food place.

I thought it was funny how they had the 400 pound guy with diabetes, practically dying, and the idiot still drank GALLONS of soda a day. GALLONS! Nobody can be blamed for that but the idiot willing to do it.

carol.prime 01-03-2007 01:44 PM

I want a burger, large fries and a large coke...:thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup

ya, well, I wasn't blaming McDonals, I was just saying after seeing the movie, I won't ever eat fastfood again, unless I am in dire need and it's the only thing available.

It's funny you should mention the soda, because I threw out all my soda too, that soda shit was the biggest thing for me, not so much the McDonalds because I don't eat there anyway. I also started only buying juices that don't have High Fructose Corn Syrup in them. I love Ocean Spray Cran-Raspberry juice, and I didn't even know it had that shit in it, so now I buy the Light, tastes EXACTLY the same but minus that High Fructose crap.

needlive 01-03-2007 05:29 PM

I still love their cheeseburger and fries...but they seem a bit expensive :Oh crap

vvq 01-03-2007 05:44 PM

Hot 'n Now is the best! But I don't think you'll find it anywhere outside of Michigan these days.

reynold 01-03-2007 10:42 PM

McDonald is still my second home.. :pimp
