Yes, and I know several people from there. I actually would consider moving there just for the real estate prices. You may have the most affordable real estate of any major city in North America. It pisses me off what you get here for your money for a condo downtown and home ownership is a pipe dream for most young couples here. The Island is also affordable and very liveable. My favorite place is Tofino.
