i got my widescreen back in Sept and I dont see myself ever going back.

Widescreen is the only way to go. If you don't like them then you probably can't afford one.

Who knows really, but the trend seems to be that both are now a requirement so like it has been put earlier, no.

Maybe a few years ago, nowadays you can get widescreen monitors as low as $200 so that's not an excuse.
