Model release and Id`s ? Who to trust with it - GoFuckYourself.com

I saw a post here about the Id`s and the Release , Now i had a prob not to long ago on this , so I want to ask , as a content maker who does he need to or have to give this stuff to so that one he doesnt get fucked as well as protect the model .

Now when I sell exclusive i give it to them , I am more asking on with a brooker as well as a non exclusive buyers .

Can I get some input on this to what you think or the safe thing to do here .

You do not need to supply anyone with anything unless it is some form of law enforcement agency who has questions about someone/thing.

As a new content provider, I did the smart thing and consulted with a lawyer and I advise you to do the same as laws differ country by country... In my case, as the custodian of records, I have all model releases filed and ready for observation at my office should the authorities require a look-through. I photo-copied all releases and put them in an off-site safe place should there be a fire...as you don't want to be without them ever.

Now would that be for a broker selling for you to . I had a problem and when they sold the content and didnt pay me ad i had words it was oh well i have the Ids and the Release so fuck you more less was to me . I am not worried over that problem any more , I just don`t want it to happen to me again . I have had a few brokers tell me they wanted it and I told them well if I give that to you , you have to give me a contract that says if i take my content from you i get them back as well and that you only have this for the selling needs of my content while it is sold threw you .

Do you feel that is a good or bad thing to do ?

Sorry > One last thing selling to a broker and he hasnt paid yet , and he is asking for all that paper work and stuff first . Now that is on a exclusive deal only

Again i like to know more what you guys do or feel is safe for all people here

I do not have much experience selling my content through brokers so I don't know what is a standard contract or what is reasonable to demand to protect yourself, although in the scenerio you just said above, it makes complete sense to me that you can pull their ability to license further your content for new sales if you want to stop your dealings with the broker.

As someone who has been selling porn 25 years the answer is simple.

ALWAYS PROVIDE THE PUBLISHER WITH THE IDs AND RELEASE

Because they do not know if you have shot a 16 year old and do not have the release or IDs. And it is their ass that will be raped in jail should the police find out that you are not honest.

It's like strapping on a seat belt, I know I'm a good driver, but I'm guarding myself against the idiot that is not.

now if you have been working with them a while i can see the dif ther but a new person how to handle that
