Who should I check out for the best rates for a cross country flight from Los Angeles (LAX) to New York (JFK)?

i had a friend use a place called www.cheapflights.com the other day and she got out of Arizona to Canada pretty cheap on a spur of the moment booking.

hotwire.com is cool.... push come to shove, just go to some of the discount airline sites and if they fly in your area, they may have redlight specials u can take advantage of.... good luck

I would choose hotwire.com also. If you leaving today check all of them you know. Then match the best price for you with the time you want. I find priceline crappy even for last minute flights. They choose it randomly for you.

Last minute deals on Travelocity is my secret place. Go for the package deal with hotel even if you dont use it, sometimes cheaper than flight alone. Priceline too.
