MCI, Sprint, a few telecom companies that no longer exist and 2 Mom and Pop telecom companies. I am still friends with people I worked with back in my first "real" job - 1985 with MCI and several from my next job starting a year later at Sprint attended my son's service.

Sure there are backstabbers, but dealing with them face to face 8 hours a day gives you more insight to which ones they are. A few posts on a board, a dinner here and there and it's harder to see through the shit.

I'm learning though - and being smarter and spending more time with my true friends from the past. :thumbsup

Friendships also mean different things to different people. I've seen people not help out a "friend" in need they've had since HS, whereas my HS girlfriends and I would give each other our kidneys, lol :) Probably not our livers - we know each other too well for that and wouldn't want each other's livers ;)

(seriously, when I had my blood transfusions, they were coming in to be tested!!)
