i sincerely wish i could cut christmas right out of my life. at least all the gift buying and so on. if i could get together with my family for a big dinner, visit for the evening and be done, that would be fantastic. i don't believe in god or jesus christ, so why celebrate christmas in the first place? i don't believe in everybody rushing out to spend their hard earned money on gifts that otherwise need not be bought either. the thought is great, but its not necessary to BUY something to show appreciation for someone. unfortunately everybody still buys me presents, so i'd be the dick of the family not to return the favor.Comment

I can honestly say that I hate xmas. Everything closes early, no one wants to work (I am posting this from McDonalds right now, because my COX (god, they named that company right) internet is down and they wont come out and fix it because of the holiday... and never mind the fact that my commercial-class SLA says "fixed in 12 hours, 24/7/365"... wait until I get ahold of my sales rep on Tuesday...) and I get tired of hearing the constant banter of xmas music in every store, on the radio and basically everywhere I go. Not to mention banks are closed and there is no mail, so basically its an entire week that gets wasted.Comment

Christmas is all about family to me. Fuck the commercialization, fuck the religious nonsense and fuck Coca Cola and the bastardization of a Catholic saint they turned "Santa Claus" into.
It's like Thanksgiving for the food, but a better excuse to gather the clan from around the country/world and enjoy one another's company.Comment
