sponsor stealing traffic

yes of course man, every sponsor makes a sticky thread about their shady ass tactics...everyone is fucking holy and want the affiliates to make money.

Not in this day and age... get real.

Do they admit? No, never.. and no refounds.

Here are a few well known tricks..
1) Change their "Program" to a newer and better one. Old codes will not work anymore for you.. I'm in this biz since 1998 and I have a lot fo big names .. and examples including the owners of this board. Of course they write somenthing on their site some of them might send u an email about that...and is your job to update your shit.. but if u have 200+ domains and a zilion of pages that might be a problem.

2) removing FHG for any reason and the 404 without having your code.. done by a lot of sponsors..

3) Proeminent Links or popups to other sites in their network or even other networks without your codes.. Here they will say somenthing abot that is the reason why they can pay more.

What you can do?
1 ) Check if clicks are recorded. Check if signups are recorded.. Ask 2-3 friends to do some signups using your links and see what will happen. You might be very surprised.

2) Filter your traffic. english traffic is far more productive (money wise) then foreigh language. Error between Accept language header and geoip is about 10% so don't bother with geoIP unles that 10% is big

3) Use intermediates.. This is huge.. I make more money from sponsors using CCBILL then big sponsors.. How is that possible?

4) Try to make them to pay for your traffic not for your signups.. Cause u pay bandwidth.. In this way they will have to pay attention to their updates. In this way you get a constant revenue not a 500 bucks month follow by a 25 one .. I'm working on this now and hopefully I will swhitch everything to adbrite and others like them. If you are big enough sell your traffic or spots.

Also sending your foreign traffic elsewhere, not totally stealing just not forthright about the practice in the TOS or via contact with affiliate reps.

Allowing and working with adware companies... not having a clear statement about this..
