That's why I left after 1 year. AA is a stepping stone and I used it as such. I haven't drank in over 9 years. However, drugs are a different story. High-five!

Christ, cut them some slack. Generally, these are people who've hit rock bottom. They're admitting a lack of control, and they're doing it, more or less, publicly (anonymous or not, they're telling someone they don't wake up next to, "Hey, I have this weakness. How about they cut me some slack? It isn't like I haven't had my problems in my past, I didn't try to burden others with them.

Here's my 12 Step Program to Complete and Total Happiness....
  1. Grab a glass
  2. Drop in ice
  3. Open Pepsi
  4. Pour Pepsi in glass
  5. Open bottle of Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum
  6. Pour in Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum
  7. Walk to living room
  8. Sit down in front of computer
  9. Navigate to GFY
  10. Read usless threads saying "would you hit it"
  11. Drink what's in the glass while reading
  12. Repeat as needed
