Sirius and XM will make subscription cheaper.

the deal is they are gonna let you choose stations a la carte instead of giving you a bunch of shit you don't want.

I still think this merger is going to die before the FTC/FCC in much the same way the DirecTV/Dish Network merger did. Didn't it take them all of 15 minutes to strike that merger down when it went before them? I'm an XM guy myself and like their hardware better, as well as Opie and Anthony over Stern, but the majority of industry analyst articles I've read don't give it much hope.

Not paying for radio as a principal is like not paying for groceries (WIC) or rent (Welfare)... Why live in a slum and eat P&J sandwiches with eggs, beans and cheese the government picked out for you when you could live in an 8 bedroom pad and enjoy dinner with all of the trimmings?

I try to steer clear of people who make not paying for radio a principal... They are usually the money grubbing idiots who have never picked up a tab or tipped over 5% in their life.... if they tipped at all.

We've got both Sirius and XM and for the most part they both have the same stuff. A la carte would rock.

Supposedly cable tv is supposed to do this a la carte setup too. That would rock. We spend over 100 a month on cable TV and I don't watch anything other than the 15 or so HD channels we've got.

I want to switch to Dish as they have the most HD content but I just saw a commercial for DirectTV that says "Soon we'll have the most HD channels"...so what to do.

            Spend you some brain.

If it's cheaper then I'm definitely down. I have two radio's right now and pay $22 or something per month. This will be a better deal. There are only about 30 stations I listen to anyway... unless it's hockey season!! Shit yeah.

NICE! That's like not paying to rent a movie when you have cable. LOL! Satellite radio is great. I'll pay for it until I die. f

                        I hear that.

I spend at least $100 a month on cable. I watch the movie channels, HBO, TNT, ESPN, the network channels, and comedy central. Hell, give me a few more HD channels and I'll drop all of the regular channels. I practically only watch HD anyway.
