No real cure for a cold.. But scotch with hot water and a spoon full of suger seems to help... When I am full of cold or flu, I just get plastered in front of the telly and sleep it off.

NyQuil if you want to pass out. DayQuil liquid on the other hand is the most god-awful disgusting concoction to exist. Stay far away from that.

Haven't had it for a while, but good ol' Sudafed will normally work well for a couple hours.

I have zero desire to get wasted or trip on cold medicine. If I wanted to do either of those I can easily get other medications. They however are not to good to take when you do have a cold.

Ideally when sick I desire to get a large bottle of gatorade. Drink some liquid or pop a couple of pills and pass out. Allow the medicine to ease the coughing, aching, ect. while remaining passed out. When I awake I swig a bunch more gatorade, toss back some more meds and pass out again. Follow through with this process for a day or two and then I am typically happy.

Now they have seemingly taken out the good drowsy material along with anything that really breaks up the crap in your chest.

Oh, and after shock.. All the "good shit" is still there. The problem is you need an ID, and you have to go to a real drug store with a pharmacist on duty. You simply say "give me that" and they write down your drivers license # or whatever.

There are now typically two formulas for all the brand name crap. Claritin has Claritin-D (the good stuff) and Claritin (the worthless shit that doesn't help do jack shit).

Basically, look for the active ingrediant Pseudoephedrine on the label - that is what was "banned".
