    Nintendo Wii is the most retarded thing I've ever seen.

    It just is. Who the hell wants to jump around like a spastic monkey when playing their video games? I just don't get it. You've all been brainwashed by their marketing campaign.

                      The Wii is great fun to play.

                      I was as skeptical as you about the new control system until my 9-5 got one for the games room and I had a chance to try it out.

                      It's very effective and I like to move around when I'm playing the games. While no one could accuse it of being exercise, it's better than sitting there like a blob!

                                                          Ok... enjoy playing your Xbox or PS2 ... which incidentally use a joypad, which was incidentally invented by Nintendo back in the 80's .... (they still hold the cross D-pad patent) ....

                                                          Nintendo are innovators. They innovate more than anyone else ... and everyone else COPY Nintendo. Hell, the PS2 pad is just an altered SNES pad design. And that's a fact.

                                                          One last thing ...

                                                          Retarded means to hinder.... since the Wii control system offers far more flexibility than ANY other control system... I think you'll find that your statement is possibly closer to retarded than the Wii controller

If they came out with a controller shaped like a basket ball which people could throw around their rooms to control a little image of a basketball on their TV - everyone would rush to buy it. But they'd only do it because everyone is doing it - not because it's an 'innovation'...

                                                                                                                                      However, we got one for the break room.. And it's actually pretty damned fun. Wii sports is played nearly 24x7 by at least 2 people all the time now, it seems.

                                                                                                                                      The best is tennis - we have rankings, matches, etc. Even the 40 year old secretary who's never touched a game system in her life picked up playing tennis on it within a couple minutes. You just.... pretend you're playing tennis?

                                                                                                                                      It's definitely not a replacement for a normal game system - but I generally don't find consoles very interesting anyways. It's a "social" based machine that is great for folks that either don't tend to socialize much anyways, or don't do the whole bar/going out/etc. scene. Plenty of friends would just kick it at their house with their girlfriends, and everyone would get in on a mario party competition - including the girls. Same idea goes here, just extended and the barrier of entry lowered.
