Honestly, I don't give a shit how much money you, Slick, or Donald Trump has. It has ZERO impact on my life. So laugh all you want. I hope it's enjoyable for you :) |

I also deal with people who've either left adult completely or have non-adult stuff too with non-adult business. No, I wasn't threatening anything. Per my attorney's instructions, I've turned everything over to the IRS. It's their decision if I was an employee or not. I wasn't paid much at WEG - was just there to gain experience - so even if they lose, there's not a lot of money in my pocket for the income taxes I paid. I don't know if the IRS charges penalties or not - again - not my concern. |

The right thing to do would have been to slap the fuck out of DirectNic with a lawsuit. Fuck DirectNic.

Slick - commend the tone man and wish you plenty luck in resolving the remaining issues :thumbsup
Couple of things - never comment on anything while a legal issue is ongoing. Never apologise for anything. Never feel the need to "update" anyone on anything. This may be how you feel - but your feelings don't matter during a legal process - rest assured they will be used by lawyers and not in the good faith you intended. It is even more relevent to stay away from any comment if further counter legal action is being considered. Wish you best of luck man and hope you are fully operational very soon. |

I can't believe this is still going on.. I don't promote teens.. But given what DirectNic did, there's no way in hell I'd ever use them.. I don't intent to put my business at risk with a company that will arbitrarily lock me out of my domains or shut down my sites. I really can't believe all the morons focused on the CP issue... What they did goes beyond that issue. In this case it was CP. Tomorrow they could get a report for something else "illegal". Do you really want to take that risk? Even if you have everything "legal" in place on your end that's no guarentee they wouldn't do the exact same thing to you.

Hey Babe, you still know how to stir the pot !! What do you really think of directnic's actions? Are you going to run over to Mike's house and protect him from the enraged webmasters? Maybe it's time he took another trip to Europe with you. Where are your latest travel pics? |
Can't wait for tommorrows.....

I think if I had faced the choice: bnunch of GFY morons on one hand, Official complain regarding child porn on another, I'd definately make sure that my ass which I love dearly, is open to morons (they can lick it to death, this is all they can do) than having to deal with authorities. We just got back from Asia, and the pics are here: http://nocomments.com/2/ |

Good Luck. I hope it works out, I really do!!!
I would do what I could to get the sites back up too but in the end I would sue them. They had no right to shut you down...period. |
Whatever works best for your intrest... wish you all the best.

To Slik -
Good luck to you and I very much hope you can get this mess cleared up and get back to speed. An unfortunate position to be in. To DN apologists - Open your eyes for chrissakes - Slik had EVERY right to come a a public forum and post his questions and let off steam. DirectNIC and ZERO right to lock his domains then subsequently turn off his sites. DirectNIC are now quite simply blackmailing Slik - show us the goods or the light stays off. I mean come on. What the frikkin hell gives a domain name registrar the right to hold domain names that they do not own to ransom??? If what has transpired is the truth, had Slik not vented his opinion here, his sites would have still been online. Since DirectNICs name has been taken publicly through the mud by exposing their Orwellian policies, they decided to switch off the lights on Slik's domains. Just bloody diamond!! |

I will say that quite a lot of people whose names you'd recognize as leaders in the biz have profited from my contacts both in adult and non-adult :) And most of those I've put them in contact with keep their names off the boards. At least one has never made a single post - doubt he reads them either. But it's kept off the boards - and will remain that way. |

From someone who is a complete newb in this industry - I think it is crazy that directinc did that when they had no authority to do so from the authorities. I feel that even though they were trying to clean up a few sites, as a business decision, it was the wrong one to make.
ethical to ask for I.D's - Yes not good for business though. |

Since 1973 with United Artists, porn since 1976 ( mainly foreign ) then 1985 with americasn productions ( Sam Lake, VCX, Alex De Renzy, Dave Darby, Russ Hampshire ). I forgot to mention that was before the Internet, when no dvd existed, no vhs existed ... Theatrical ... BTW, my first adult internet site ( which is still my main member site ) was launched in 1997 ... And no, I had not seen this clip of these new players...... Now, go back to your asslicking :2 cents: |

Pornguy - Slick has an attorney. I'm sure he's getting advice from his attorney on what he can and cannot do. |
Slick,
Although i think DN is the one doing wrong here, not you, i think you did what you had to do to solve this. Great post, you are a stand up guy :thumbsup |
So Slick did you find out if it was CP or not and who was the sponsor?
