what country do you live in? I know cars in other countries can be crazy expensive...and the difference between a Kia and RAV4 would be a bigger difference than here in USA...

I'm into SUVs and when buying a Sportage you get what you pay for. Just make sure NOT to go with the 2WD base model, it sucks.
But personally I'd get a bit more money and go for the Mitsubishi PajeroSig too big
