    Sound card input record grey

I have gigabayte s3 motherboard with intergrated realtek sound chip.Sound works fine, but all inputs are grey and it cannot be regulated in volume control, which means they are like they doesnt exits on sound card.I try everything, from reinstalling drivers from internet and reinstalling drivers from cd.
    Any idea why?

If you have an extra PCI slot I'd go grab a sound card for it. I can't remember the last time I've relied on an onboard sound card.

Do you get any sound at all? If not make sure onboard sound isn't disabled in the BIOS. Otherwise only the inputs not in use should be grayed out.

Yeah, disable that shit in the bios and get a real soundcard.
