I am taking sides with Dr. Phil on this one. Why promote someone that is torturing these poor bums.

I really thought he was going to come back and punch Dr. Phil though. But still good for Dr. Phil to kick him out.

I've seen a few clips of the bumfights shit, it's just awful. Not saying it's particularly 'wrong'; sure it's exploitation but it's essentially the same exact thing what those talk show hosts are doing. Sure, the talk shows may not be as violent (well except for Springer) but they still exploit human beings to make a buck.

What made this particular issue really fucked up was Dr. Phil invited him on his show, AFTER seeing clips of the bumfight series... to just kick him off. Made Phil look like a total ass and made for a great viral campaign the guy can now use to sell more vids. Sweet deal.

If that were really the case why would he show us all the promo...?

That producer was right on the money - there's no difference between the exploitation that dr. phil is doing to his guests and what the bum fights producer is doing....it's just a matter of degree.

Dr. Phil's producers at least know more subtle ways to monetize on someone else's anguish.

Not seeing where he "owned" him in any way but it was weird to invite the guy on just to send him home.

I dont care about Dr Phil or that dork that was on the show. I like most anything extreme, but the bum fights are very, very lame. I think they are just in poor taste, but freedom of expression and freedom of speech should be upheld. We must tolerate shit that we may not agree with, that is the price of freedom.
