I'd be surprised if someone with a low post count and a very-early join date answered this, even if it's terse.

I'd wet myself if that happened.

I'm just tired of reading some pansy green / red nick, fly-by-night board poster living off their sig posts. Granted, haven't been here that long, but I have read some solid threads by someone who has something to offer the world. Something other than the current trend of board drama and pathetic sig views.

At least the fucking emu and fleshlight's played out. Hopefully.

Unfortunately, the "see sig" bullshit still flies :( I'd actually be interested in the "see sig" folks to post what they do, just so I can understand why they post "see sig".... I've never understood that. It's not my place or business, but was just curious about the waste of effort. *shrug*

Otherwise - I kind'a dig this thread. Thus the bump.

-- edit:
Forgot to say I have sigs turned off. My apologies.

From what I hear this place use to be the place to come if you wanted to get some business done and make some new contacts. Now it's all about the sig whores, drama and would you hit it threads. Very rarely do you ever see a thread about someone looking to do some business. Well that's my :2 cents:

It seems there use to be a policy on GFY that there could only be 4 contest going at any given time and you had to buy a top spot. I noticed a few days ago it looked like 10 - 12 contest threads on the front page and some of them go on for months and i don't think they were all buying top banner space either.

Contest are part of the problem. The affiliate companies who buy sig space from sig whores are the other part of the problem.

I think there are two different things :thumbsup

First, I think there are alot of people that would like others to know a little more about them. It's tough to tell the world what you are about without bragging and usually, if you do try to tell everyone what you are about, when you do it comes off the wrong way. Most people think Sleazy is a dick but in person he's not only a very generous, kind, funny guy but he is also very smart and a great guy to talk biz with. It's tough to get the msg out to people what you are about on gfy. So i think these people would like a way to get that word out anyway possible. This thread just happens to use the Ambush tag to do it but definitely proves people are interested in letting others know about themselves.

Second I think the Ambush interviews that you have are a good way for people to not only get to know someone better but learn something about the industry and the history of it.

Tony how many damn threads have we both posted in? I've always wondered who you were and what you did. Nice to finally know :thumbsup

You know what would be great? And I don't think it should be called an ambush as much as it is an About Me. It would be sweet if there was a section on gfy for users to update this type of info. AdultWhosWho Derek should add this to AWW. I think it would be a great addition.

I like Sleazy. I know him and Will are at each other. I bet if Will had used a title like Tell us About Yourself or About me or something like that it could have been a more popular thread.

It was just a matter of time of before you came into this thread.

I don't think any of the people who replied here wanted to be abmushed by you. Your ambushes are more about drama and blowing people. What I started is a way for people to explain who they are and what they do. "ambush" was just used to give it a little attention, since people recognize that phrase.

NONAMES people? you really are a piece of shit. So because you don't know the person they are obviously a nobody?

You hit the nail on the head and the reason why I started this thread.

About me would have been a more appropriate phrase, but people recognize " abmush" like you said, so that is why I used those words.

It would be good if GFY added a " profile" for people share info about themselves.

It's great for networking.

This has nothing to do with what Scott is doing, other then the name of this thread. What he does focuses more on drama and not business related stuff, and he only does 1 a week I believe.

In a fantasy world it would rock if that were mandatory to fill out. I'd love to be able to read more about people that are posting. Hopefully gfy admins will read these posts and consider adding it to the user profiles.

Hey Shap, I emailed Kevin a while back to see if you guys would be interested in adding me as a shooter to your list but never heard from him.

Location:
Nassau, Bahamas

Relationship Status:
Married for 3 years.

Have Kids:
None

How Long in Adult:
8 or 9 years. I can never remember when i started.

How did you get started:
Long story. Stumbled on persiankitty.com and saw her counter and was hooked. I ran a few different free sites when I started and did ok. Never stuck with any of them. First thing I stuck with was PicWarehouse. It started as a link list and became a CJ. It was a top 10 ranked traffic site for about a year. Then before CJs started to decline I took all my traffic and started some really high quality tgps and turned all my CJ traffic into Tgp Bookmarks.

What do you do/own to generate income:
Paysites and Tgps. Main sites are Twistys.com and Thumbzilla.com

How many hours do you work a week:
Between 75 and 95

Do you consider yourself successful:
Yes.

Famous GFY moment:
There have been alot of infamous moments. The biggest in recents years going head to head with Mallick during ibill's tough times. My best and most helpful post in the past year would have to be
http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showthread.php?t=558484

How do you think most people on GFY see you:
Brutally honest, hard working, passionate and sometimes a real loud whiny bitch

How many people on GFY have you met (in person:1orglaugh ):
100s

How many shows have you been to:
Maybe a dozen or so.

Good qualities about yourself:
Most people who have met me and spent time with me would know I'm a very passionate and honest person. I think i'm a pretty good coach/motivator and love to help people improve their business.

What do you do offline for fun:
Not much these days. Play hockey once a week. Would love to boat and golf more.

What is the biggest amount of money you lost, to who, and how:
I've lost 6 figure amounts twice. Once about 6 years ago invested in something that was promising huge returns. Money disappeared. There is no such thing as fast money. The only thing that works for me is work my ass off and earn my money. All fast money sure things have failed for me. Off and Online.
btw the other 6 figure loss was ibill.

Do you spend what you make or save or reinvest it:
I spend very little of what i make. We reinvest heavily in our company and whatever is left over is invested wisely.

Are you currently looking to buy anything (content, traffic, etc..) explain:
Always looking for traffic, affiliates, content everything. More than anything I'm always interested in starting new business relationships. Just this month I started using AllAdultCash thanks to Aimee Sweet. We've been pushing it for about 10 days and it's been phenomenal. I love finding a new company to work with that fits in perfectly with what we currently have.

Name: Hans Waasdorp
Age: 34
Location: Amsterdamn
Relationship Status: Married
Have Kids: 2 boys, Quinten (3) Joe (1)
How Long in Adult: Since 1995
How did you get started: I started to make websites for brothels in the area.
Then 1 of the owners asked my if I could build a livecam studio. Build the livestudio
in 1996 with 3 moving cams, etc, etc. we wanted to exploit it to paysites but the owner
crapped out. Private.com offered me a job instantly and I took it. Left after 18 months
because of a girl....yeah, yeah laugh....lol

Went back from Spain to Holland got asked to work for payserve.com as a sysadmin/coder.
Worked 4 years for them, built the livecam studios for them in Prague and Moscow. Started
VirtualXS Hosting / billing company with 2 friends/partners. Left after 2 years as I got
fed up with Holland once again and decided to move to Spain. Started adultmonkey.com one
of the first Paysite Review sites, sold it. Ran a Spanish Dialer program, made lots of money
invested it in an affiliate program with paysites. Got fucked out of my internet connection
and couldnīt get it back quick, at the time my wife was giving birth to our first son, I stepped
out of that project. Started a lounge bar / coffeeshop in Spain ran that for 2 years. Got
raided and busted a few times, did some time in a Spanish Jail for selling weed. Got fucked
by my partner....but managed to sell out. Went back to Holland so that wife and kids can spend
some quality time together before weīre moving somewhere else.

Started ServerGenius.com which I still run....looking for interesting projects to take on

Cool nice to know you. I don't know why I pictured you as an older guy, when come to find out we are the same age.

Name: Sean
Age: 26
Location: Chicago, IL (Lincoln Park)
Relationship Status: Single
Have Kids: No
How Long in Adult: 2-3 years
How did you get started: Was working in mainstream a lot and found it easy to make money in some areas of adult.
What do you do/own to generate income: PPC and SEO
How many hours do you work a week: 30+
Do you consider yourself successful: Yes
Famous GFY moment: None that I can think of
How do you think most people on GFY see you: I have no clue
How many people on GFY have you met (in person ): Zero
How many shows have you been to: None in adult, plenty in mainstream. Been invited to a bunch by sponsors and stuff and just haven't been that interested in going. One day the offer will be too good to pass up.
Good qualities about yourself: I'm honest and loyal. I'm also kind of a math/statistics nut which helps me with problem solving issues in business and life.
What do you do offline for fun: Love sports. Bulls season ticket holder and try to get to a few Cubs games a year. Will be celebrating a Bears Super Bowl a month from now.
What is the biggest amount of money you lost, to who, and how: I've been pretty lucky and try and stay away from putting all my eggs in one basket (must be the math thing). I've lost a few grand from various sponsors who didn't pay out, had a programmer or two screw me, but otherwise I've been lucky so far.
Do you spend what you make or save or reinvest it: Little of both. I'm a sucker for electronics.
Are you currently looking to buy anything (content, traffic, etc..) explain: Always looking for hard links in various niches.

It would be great if there was a mandatory about me, read yours too great stuff you have done kudos to you. :)

I use to get the " wow you doing so well for your age, really mature and good with investing instead of spending your money" etc...

I USE to hear that back when i was 24,25 etc.. Don't hear that any more since I am 30. I guess most people should have grown up by their late 20's although reading GFY it looks like a lot of people missed the boat on that one.

It's always nice to come across the occasional young ambitious guy who is doing well. It is so easy to be disctracted at that age and to worry more about girls and going out then making money.
