Run Windows XP apps IN Mac OSX -----> NO MORE DUAL BOOT NEEDED

OK, now we are getting somewhere

fuck all that dual boot shit, now you can run windows xp apps while IN Mac OSX

Until now, Parallels has let you run Windows either in full-screen mode (so you flip between OS X and Windows) or in a Window (so the entire Windows environment sits within a window on the OS X desktop). Coherence ups the ante by allowing Windows applications to sit within their own windows on the OS X desktop, enabling a world in which you can use Mac apps and Windows apps and just not think that much about which is which.

Dual boot is still a better solution, imo. Parallels eats up a lot of memory when I run it, slowing things down a wee bit. There are a few more solutions on the way that I'd definitely be willing to try out.

sometimes it isn't about the exact technology you see right now, but more about the technology that will come out of what you see right now

Jace, I'd love to be free for Windows all together. While I don't think that will ever be the case...the current solutions still need some tweaking. I think the other viable option comes or will be coming from VMWare. Not sure when it will show up, but from what I've read so far...it should give Parallels a run for it's money. Google it if you get a chance.

DELL would fucking love to be able to ship OS X installed on their machines. They've asked many times.
