I completely agree with ForteCash on this one. I saw nothing in that video that even came close to upsetting me. I'm a moderate Republican and sometimes I watch Bill O'Reily...but it didnt piss me off. Nowadays, people are just dying to find some new thing to piss them off. Why not sit back and just enjoy your life?

That's actually a really great point aico. Kids are just like sponges; their minds absorb just about everything you tell them. What makes the ones in church spouting religious bullshit, the ones singing in the choir about a magic little alien with a shiny little hat -- what makes them any different than this girl? They have all been programmed to say whatever adults tell them to say. If this video is child abuse then religion has abused billions of children worldwide.

That is why children are not held accountable for their actions until they reach the age of majority. The age of majority is the point at which a person is allegedly able to think for themselves and reason out their own understanding of the world around them. The message conveyed by this girl is as valid from her mouth as it is from the writer's pen. If she had come up with this on her own, she would have been dismissed, because it is exceedingly unlikely for a child of her age to have such extensive knowledge of pop culture as well as social history.

As for abuse:
Federal law has a very clear definition of abuse. Seeing as there is no physical or sexual abuse, the only other possibility is neglect. Under child neglect, the only thing this video comes close to touching is in education. That however is limited to a parent knowingly allowing their child to miss school without cause. That, however, has nothing to do with this child. Her welfare, by legal definition, is not being endangerd. If you believe in thought crimes, i.e. speaking ideas that displease the powers that be, I guess I could see where you would cry abuse. This video is, after all, speaking against the entrenched status quo.

P.S. There are absolutely no laws against "hate speech" in the US. Furthermore, it is only considered hate speech if it is intended to incite violence against a person or group. The ensuing actions would then be prosecutable as a hate crime, if the state so desired, and those who called for the acts would be complicit in the crime. Seeing as this video is calling for the exact opposite of violence, it does not fall under that category. Since it states only facts and opinions, it is not even slander. The only thing that might be crossing a line (as far as the FCC is concerned) is the fact that she used expletives that were not deleted. ::Oogity boogity! She said ass and damn!!! Just like every other eight year old I've ever known::
