I just recently turned 40 and I don't want to experience one.. I've heard about them, and I've experience some depression when I was in my late 20s for a few years but nothing since, thank God... has anyone experienced it?

I just turned 29 a few days ago. Good thing is that I can still easily pass for being in my early 20's so I don't really give a fuck.
I remember going to the bank once when I was 25 or 26 and the teller had to make a phone call to confirm something.. she than looked at my age off the paper and said you don't look anywhere near your age. At that point though I didn't really like it.. but now I am starting to like it.
Way better to look young than your age or older. I remember I went to highschool with this guy. He was the same age as me and he could get into bars with no ID checks.
