Hey guys. We have Nicole Graves doing a live chat tonight and we have just absolutely killed the Camz network. It's insane. There are more than 1400 members in the chat and i think it's capped out now LOL. There are too many posts and Nicole can't keep up. The chat is flying by at lightspeed. It's sick.

The really shitty thing is this admin Rhea is a total bitch. And the Camz network doesn't seem to have been able to handle our traffic. The video has been down most of the show and it looks like most of their network is really slow right now.

So despite the bad parts it's pretty cool that our members had the power to do this

Well we proved tonight we have the power to deliver in numbers. The question now is to find a cams company that can handle our members and that knows how to treat members with respect.

It really sucks when i put up links to this show and they turn around and bitch out my members. Especially when the chat was customized to look like it was still on Twistys. So in essence that employee/admin was representing Twistys. Let's just say that first impression of camz was really bad. I'm not only disappointed but pretty pissed off by all this.

The video didn't work for the first 15 minutes. So you had 1400+ people sitting there viewing and 100s chatting. The chat msgs were flying in faster than you could imagine (i was floored). She couldn't keep up and lost her cool. "PEOPLE BE PATIENT" her tone was just absolutely bitchy. No respect. Really treated my members like slimeballs.

I agree. The funny thing is i spent 2 hours prior to the show chatting with members that were waiting there. I was answering their questions and just chatting with them and getting feedback on the site etc. They were really nice guys and very respectful. Within 5 minutes of the show starting (but no video) the admin kicked 3 of those guys out for asking repeatedly how to see the video. And then within 10 minutes after that i saw another 10 or so leave the show. These are guys that waited 2 hours for the show and were chatting with me and enjoying it and when the show started they left because of the way the admin started treating them.

Dude it happened at the last second. Somehow this whole show was presented to us less than 24 hours before it happened. I personally don't have a single contact info for anybody at camz. My crew set it up and handled it all. It's midnight and nobody from the Twistys team is up but me. This was something that was put together at the last second hoping it would be a hit. We sent the traffic (as we always do) and in the end the last minute deal didn't go so great.

If you are doing member only video/chat why not set your own server up, its not a big deal to do, not overally expensive either. I have been doing live video since 1998, I would never put my webcam up on someone elses server, I like to have my own control over it all.

Actually here's the best part of this whole thing. I've got 5 computers here. I'm computer savvy. I have all the latest codecs etc. Here we are 2006 in a live video chat and not once over the course of the hour could i get the video to work. How is that possible? How weak is that?

The funny thing is 7 or 8 years ago when i was with Xpics for a bit i moderated a chat once and it was smooth as silk. Here we are 7 years later and the live video chat was a complete nightmare and didn't even load on my end. I wasn't alone either because every minute there were 2 to 5 people asking how to get the video to work. Something went wrong tonight. Either Camz has an absolutely shitty setup or we really had an unlucky experience with them and their employees.

2.I went a step further and said that I would set them up with a custom page if they forward me a designed page we would add the show and chat room into the page so they could help promote a CamZ girl's site as well as entertain the members.

3 after hand coding the page and getting it to them in a very short time we had it all set up and working.

4. We are in the proccess of a hosting move with half of our servers still at our old host and the other half at the new host it is a daunting task as you can imagine. 30 min prior to this show they were promoting one of our data base servers took a nose dive and we had a bottle neck.

5. We worked as we always do very hard and quickly to regain control of any slow down. BTW I am very proud of my crew and the way they regained control of the servers as fast as they did considering.

6. During the process the admin lost connection as well to the chat server during a restart of apache this was thought to be that she walked from the room.

7. a couple of points of facts to consider here. CamZ regularly serves more then 3000 people at one time. The room that was provided for Twistys was NOT only for their members but it was all the members from CamZ network where there was 2 other one hour hardcore shows going on at the same time as this show being discussed here. Those other two rooms had more then 1000 people in them as well.

8. I will not comment on what I think regarding the use of this forum in the manor it is being used. It would serve no other purpose other then that of a self serving one. CamZ clients know the quality of the service and the feeds we provide on a regular basis

We certainly would like to apologize not only to Coco but to all of the CamZ performers and clients as well as the Twistys crew and members who had the temporary outage due to the problems with the move and this server.

As for the behavior of the chat admin we maintain a very professional training program for these admin's and considering what they have to endure from some very rude people at times we consider them to be the best at what they do.

With that said I will certainly be pulling the log of the chat during that hour or so and making sure that they did what they were to do in the manner we expect them to. If they are found to be rude we will certainly take immediate action to correct and or remove that admin from our system.

However after reading through the misstatements from this thread I expect to find that the admin did the job very well considering the trouble that they we were having.

We have been providing Live Hardcore shows to more then 120,000 members a day for more then 6 years. With our new custom integration of our live hardcore shows it is the best live hardcore content on the net. We know a thing or two about broadcasting live shows It was just a bad night for our servers with the move. Shit happens.. we learn, correct the problem and move on.

Dan the truth is mistakes happen. That's life. I think everybody in the chat understood that. I would have never made a post if it were just mistakes, slowness and downtime. The admin pushed me over the edge and pissed me off beyond belief. There is no excuse for the way she was. You guys may have 120,000 peopple in a room at once but last night was out of control. A large percentage of people could not get the video to load (myself included). The admin was rude. In fact when you read the chat log you'll see she was also rude to Nicole.

Anyhow it's a new day I'm not going to dwell on this any longer. I've had to put up a post in my members area apologizing for the behavior of the admin in the chat.

NaughtyAllie and NaughtyJulie both do 2 shows every week on the Camz network. Each of them have well over 2,000 people in their shows on a consistent basis so I highly doubt the 1400 pepople in Nicole's chat were the cause of any issues you experienced.

I do know that Dan is in the middle of a major server move so perhaps that has something to do with the problems you've mentioned.

In regards to the admin being rude, one thing you have to remember is that during the course of a one hour show I'm guessing more than 10,000 people roll through that room. The admin's job is to make sure a few pricks don't ruin the show for everyone. Since I wasn't there I have no idea what was said and perhaps the admin was a little overzealous in an attempt to quell disruptive chat room behavior. Either way, I'm not sure this is an issue for the board. Seems to me something like this could have been handled owner to owner.

I can tell you one thing for sure, Allie has been doing shows on the Camz network for nearly 4 years now and has always been very pleased with the perfomance of the network and the admins who keep the assholes to a minimum.
