You already nailed him for numerous months. Then the to old to refund issue seems to crop up when someone discovers that they never signed up in the first place.

Only reason I say the above is that the person who signed up, left out a phone number. Not sure if the address or anything else is quasi legit.

It is one of the costs of accepting checks. A percentage will come back or be fraud.

Is that a bounce, or a chargeback? I didn't think you could charge back an ACH transaction, but I could be mistaken.

Looks like a pretty loyal customer, Aaron. If he did indeed bounce the check, it may not have been intentional. He may sign up again when he's more financially sound.

It's a returned check. They are listed as chargebacks but in fact are not. If they wanted to charge everything back then CCBill would have refunded October's payment as well.

Know what you mean. Took my sites invite only and the cb and rt went down to next to nothing.

Quite generous. I'm sure that will make him happy. If you're at 1.3% for your returned checks, that has to be some kind of miracle. I'm floating right around 50%. And I thought mine was pretty average.

I have $10k in chargebacks and returned checks from ccbill this year, can you turn them over to a collection agency?

I used to do this in 98-2000 and I charged a 50% return fee and usually got about 30% to pay back their charges plus the fee.. was thinking of doing it again.
