Can you give some examples of how you would improve the interface?

I've given some of these to you in the past and you've said they're on their way but I've seen a couple releases and nothing yet. I'm a full time affiliate for 5+ years now so for me it all comes down to speed of use and implementation as well as consistency.

Stats - The drop down needs to include all previous periods or at least the periods since the affiliate signed up. Most non-nats programs offer this.

Links - I hate the encoded links but it goes beyond them being encoded. I want to be able to add compaigns on the fly. There's the autocamp thing but there's some odd things about it and I'm not sure it works properly, especially for FHGs. But the big thing is that I have to go back into the admin if I want to change links from non-console to console. Or I want to send to tour 2 instead of tour 1. There's no consistency, even within the same program.

Generating Links - I shouldn't have to have the page load a couple times before I can get to the links. I should be able to set some parameters and click the button once. I should be able to grab all the links at once insted of having to cut and paste each one.

Banners and FHGs - It looks like the entire thing is desgned from the same base code instead of designing it to the specifics of requirements of each section. I would toss everything and start from scratch frankly. Again, speed and ease of use, consitency. Bulk exporting with cut and pasting. Don't display everything, use some drop down boxes that allow me to set the campaign, program, site and what I want in terms of type of banner etc.

Banners - With an advanced piece of software like this, it should be generating the FPAs with my code already in it. Display the banners full size so I can consider their effectiveness and then I can right click and save.

FHGs - Why can I not have all the galleries go to any tour available? The current system allows programs to say they have 1000s of galleries when in fact maybe they only have 10 unique sets of content but some galleries go to tour 1, some to tour 2, some use template 1, some template 3 etc. etc. etc. As an affiliate, and what I'd like to offer affiliates, is the ability to easily put up some content and some templates, and the affiliate can pick and choose the template and tour they want for their galleries so they can tweak things for their traffic.

Also, what issues/concerns are you worried about?

The whole "program switched to NATs and my sales went down". I know the issues with that but it concerns me.

The lawsuit. At first I figured it was justified. But now watching how you get heated up over a forum, I'm wondering if perhaps you aren't somewhat to blame for the initial argument.

Now that I've written out a bunch of things and thought about it, if I find the user interface of the affiliate section this "bad", I'd be concerned that the admin area is just as bad.

Thank you for the feedback on the interface. It is much appreciated. If you would like to see the admin area I would be more than happy to have someone guide you through it whether you are interested in purchasing the program or not. I would also like to show you our first draft of the new affiliate area once we get it ready as from a number of your posts you seem to enjoy interface design.

Regarding the ratios dropping on a move. I know it has been said by some people, the problem is it is a minority of people. And when its reviewed there are never any problems found. If we ever find a problem or are shown a problem we fix it immediately. I wish there was more I can say but without seeing or being shown a problem I can't :( Just please know that we are always looking to make sure things are working properly.

Regarding the lawsuit. They are two totally different things. One is dealing with random anonymous people posting things on GFY and one is dealing with a client of ours which we value every one of greatly. One is not an indicator of the other but I can understand your assumption. You can ask our clients, the vast majority of them will say they are treated very very well. There will always be a few unhappy people when dealing with so many but we do our best to make sure every client of ours is well taken care of, treated with absolute respect and happy at the end of each day.

NATS is great!! we use them.. great service, quick swap... and they buy you drinks :thumbsup

ShaneRyale 12-06-2006 04:54 PM

I've used NATS in several different programs now and I've been extremely happy it! The updates, support, and overall functionality of the software gives us the ability to focus on other areas.

Easton 12-06-2006 04:54 PM

we've been running NATS for 27 months now and it just gets better with every update they put out... if i had to do it all again, i'd start up with NATS

Nader 12-06-2006 04:56 PM

We have been using and making money with NATS for about
a year now and have had no problems what so ever.

The product rocks very detailed easy to use and has good
support backing it up.

I totally reccomend them! Hit me up anytime if you have any
questions

Good Luck :thumbsup

Obviously I have strong positive opinions towards NATS. I have many clients happily using it and have never had any new clients upset with a recommendation of it.

That said: You have to identify a list of things you want your affiliate software to do then compare what each option offers against that list. I'd be surprised if any program had as many positive hits to a good list as NATS since they have been tweaking and adding to the program from day one in response to webmasters asking for features.

iac 12-06-2006 04:59 PM

From a design perspective, we've integrated NATS for a lot of our affiliate design clients, and so far its been smooth sailing. No complaints on our end.
We have not tried out the other companies yet, so wouldn't be fair for us to compare them with NATS.

There's no true winner that I found with any of them for someone seeking something truly feature rich.

On the affiliate side of things, I've only promoted one program using NATS for any amount of time, and the interface was frustrating enough to me not to seek out further programs running it. I'm not even sure what specifically put me off, but it didn't have a very good "flow" to it. Navigation could definitely use some big improvements.

(I meant all of the above as constructive criticisms, not to bash you. NATS is a very solid product with some great features).

The base templates for delivering the information are just a base guideline. They got them pretty darn good so many people just dress them up and use them without doing anything else. But there is plenty of flexibility there to make them adhere to a way in which you would prefer to present the information.

It's a good comment you made though and people running NATS should pay mind to it and work on making their templates more unique to their program.

Just wanted to jump in on this thread,

I have worked with John & the rest of the TooMuchMedia staff for awhile now and they are great! The product that they provide (NATS) has got to be one of the best affiliate program software packages I have seen in adult and the mainstream. One of the many advantages of using any product from TooMuchMedia is friendly and knowledgable staff. Any time we have had issues (even special customizations) TooMuchMedia/NATS has jumped in and done everything without ever nickle n' diming us. How many software companies can you say that about these days? :)

My vote is to go with NATS if you are in need of affiliate program software (or members area software like CARMA). They will help you through every single issue you may have and are always are great to work with. :) To TooMuchMedia you arent just another client, your a business partner and friend. Thats why I will always use TooMuchMedia products! :)

I am 100% for NATS. I've been with SexDateCash for about 3 years and we have had them since the beginning. The interface is very easy to use, the customer service people must be vampires because someone is ALWAYS online and their KB (help center) is written so easily that any N00b could understand the simple directions.

I've used NATS, I've used another company which I will not name and I've used custom built backend. I wouldn't trade Nats for the anything. :thumbsup

yellowmenace 12-06-2006 05:20 PM

been working with nats for a couple of months now and I can seriously say they have their stuff together. very professional and a solid company.

AdultRMX 12-06-2006 05:22 PM

Go for NATS :)

dig420 12-06-2006 05:28 PM

NATS is always a good choice :)

GigoloMason 12-06-2006 05:32 PM

no where near enough background info provided for any sort of educated statement.

uno 12-06-2006 06:11 PM

If you are looking to expand, NATS is the way to go.

Anthony 12-06-2006 06:14 PM

I've been lucky enough to see NATS from the ground up and it' s every increasing capablities, and can't rave more about it.

It's a matter of preference in this market. Some like NATS, some like MPA3, and others Exec Stats. The best way to for a business to find out for themselves are threads like these for all three and weigh them specifically for their own business needs.

Competition breeds excellence.

ArkansasDave 12-06-2006 06:34 PM

We use NAT's but MPA3 is damn good too.

NoWhErE 12-06-2006 06:41 PM

As an affiliate, I only choose sponsors with NATS. Any other program doesn't give me enough information for me to be content.

Love it or hate it, in my opinion, NATS is the best program out there

DeadFidel 12-06-2006 10:12 PM

Nats. Great support team:thumbsup

vvq 12-06-2006 10:29 PM

You can't go wrong with NATS. The entire think it templated. Program admins have full access to change the way link codes, galleries, stats, etc are delivered to the affiliates. If you don't like the way NATS looks, that's more of an issue with the program owners, not the affiliate software itself. It's entirely cuztomizable. Not to mention support is amazing. If you've got custom ideas, support will gladly point you in the right direction to make them happen.

Don't blame the software or company because programs choose not to change the way everything is displayed or develop more custom solutions. It's all entirely possible.

avolongold 12-06-2006 10:31 PM

John, what promotion is currently going on with NATS? Do you have any promotions in the future that may persuade me to go with NATS in the new year?

Aric 12-06-2006 10:35 PM

NATS is a marketing machine. Any of the others will do just as well.
Custom will always be the best.

woj 12-06-2006 10:35 PM

As long as the $$ keeps rolling in, I could care less what affiliate software affiliate program uses...

We don't have anything running at the moment. Shoot me an email to albright[]toomuchmedia[]com or an icq to 5596373 and I would be glad to help you out tho.

reviewcash 12-06-2006 11:57 PM

We push 36 sponsors and have about 25 accounts with each and the high % of affiliate software used is Nats...

MichaelP 12-07-2006 07:54 AM

With an affiliate point of view, I LOVE working with Nats. My databases are build around the first program I started to push and they were using Nats, so now for me it is easier to go with aprogram wich uses NATS cause I can have the galleries formats I need to easily implement them in my databases.

Actually I don't join any new program that is not using Nats...

From a presonal Point of view, I need to say that John and Charlie are very, very nice people. Some here will say that I am biased cause they are our big sponsors at QWEBEC Expo. But If I wouldn't truly mean it, I would say it. I definitelly wouldn't take the chance to get bashed here on GFY for a few thousands bucks...

If you have questions, PLEASE call them or talk to them. You have an issue? call Charlie, he will make sure to resolve the situation and make you happy.

Now see sig : NATS ROCKS :thumbsup
