Britney Spears seems to have renewed her appreciation for the paparazzi, spending the American Thanksgiving weekend and subsequent week hitting Las Vegas and Hollywood nightspots with attention-whore Paris Hilton. Their escapades have involved the expected debauchery at Vegas hotspot Tryst and Hollywood hotspots Teddy?s and Hyde, with a degrading level of class.

Dancing at Tryst, Britney decided that she was much too overdressed and removed her pants to frolic in her shirt and fishnets. She followed that up with flashing her panties at photographers at Teddy?s a few nights later, and rounded out the week by dropping undergarments altogether, flashing awaiting cameras with her pantyless naughty bits not once, but twice over the next few nights. Her kids must be so proud.


Busting Up

More road kill on the celebrity marriage highway. Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock have filed for divorce, after only 110 days of marriage. The couple got married in a three ceremony extravaganza beginning in July 29 in St. Tropez. While the reasons filed in the divorce papers cite irreconcilable differences, it has been rumoured that Kid Rock?s jealousy and anger problems contributed to the end of the relationship.

Anderson has asked on her Web site that tabloids refrain from speculating about the end of their relationship, in order to spare her kids the confusion of trying to sift through rumours. In her online diary, she states: ?I'm very concerned with the press on mine and Bob's divorce. I know I have people who want to defend me or people who want to defend Bob, but my children can read - and I'd like to resolve this amicably - not fueling fires - and with dignity.?

Pamela and Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, have endured an on-again off-again romance over the past few years: they began seeing each other in 2001, got engaged about a year later, and then broke off the engagement in June 2003. The couple last reunited in July of this year after a chance meeting on a mutual friend?s yacht.

In other B-list celebrity break up news, Hilary Duff and Joel Madden have called it quits. The two started ?hanging out? two years ago when Duff was just 17 to Madden?s 25 years. The couple denied relationship rumours until Duff was a barely-legal 18.

Falling further down the celebrity food chain of break ups, two other couples finalize their divorces this week: Selma Blair and Ahmet Zappa, son of Frank Zappa, put their marriage to rest, and 90s A-lister Christian Slater finalized his divorce from Ryan Hadden.

On November 29th, the Hollywood reporter released its annual list of the highest paid actresses of the year, ranking by what they demand per film. Nicole Kidman, who spent last year running second fiddle to Julia Roberts? $20 million-per-film asking price, has kicked the long-time front runner off the list altogether.

In fact, Roberts? step away from the big screen to raise her twin children (and for a short, ill-received stint on Broadway!) has removed her from the list altogether. Kidman now tops the list with an earning potential of up to $17 million per picture.

The only other actress to be removed from last year?s list is Jodie Foster.

This year?s newcomer to the list is Marie Antoinette?s Kirsten Dunst with an asking price of up to $10 million, and returning to the list after a one-year absence is Halle Berry.

Dogg Days

It appears that wherever Snoop Dogg goes with his pockets full of weapons and drugs, the police just happen to be there to arrest him. Following his October 26th arrest at the Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, CA, for possession of guns and pot, and a previous arrest at the Santa Ana airport for possession of a dangerous weapon, police say they launched an investigation that led to the Doggfather?s arrest (along with two of his gangland cronies) November 29th after an appearance on the Tonight Show.

According to Sgt Kevin Grandalski, the rapper was arrested on the suspicion of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, possessing cocaine, transporting marijuana and having a false compartment in his vehicle. Snoop posted his $60,000 bail and will be arraigned January 11.

This is not the first time the Doggfather has been involved in the penal system. Snoop Dogg?s felony conviction comes from a 1990 cocaine possession charge and a 1993 gun possession charge. He also charged with, and acquitted for, murder in 1996 following the death of an alleged rival street gang member.

Not The Support Richards Was Looking For

Michael Richards continues to make his rounds of civil rights leaders, including Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, in the hopes he will get some sort of official pardon for his racist tirade caught on an audience member?s cell phone and circulated widely across the Internet. Meanwhile, someone who has been there has spoken up for Richards, eliciting what can only be a physically painful cringe from the Richards? spin camp.

Mel Gibson, whose seemingly untarnishable Hollywood Wonderboy image is still reeling from his own anti-Semitic and sexist drunken ?mistake,? has spoken out in sympathy of the former Seinfeld star. Gibson tells Entertainment Weekly, ?He was obviously in a state of stress. You don't need to be inebriated to be bent out of shape. But my heart went out to the guy.? Apparently alcoholism isn?t the only excuse for racist ?mistakes,? as star can seemingly be driven to saying things they don?t, in their hearts, mean, by mere stress.

It would seem that Richards has a ways to go yet on his road to salvation, with lawyers setting up a mediated tete-a-tete between Richards and the four men he insulted at the Laugh Factory comedy club. A cash settlement, to make up for the ?pain inflicted on them? is not out of the question at this point. God Bless America.
