Fuck AFF!

StarkReality 12-04-2006 06:36 PM

Although evil, it's clever. It certainly won't be enforced on the average webmaster, rather looks like it aims on the top affiliates. In case any of them thinks about promoting a different site and pulling links, a possible account termination and loss of alot of $$$ from rebills is a quite convincing argument to stay...

sicone 12-04-2006 06:42 PM

Glad I pulled all my AFF links

gleem 12-04-2006 06:43 PM

it's one of the top reasons people are afraid to move their traffic, move traffic, lose a cut of your rebills... it's BLACKMAIL!!

If they ever do post in here (they only post their kiss ass contests here, nothing ever serious) they will just say "if you don't like that policy use the pay per sale".

Snake Doctor 12-04-2006 06:45 PM

The balance of your revshare dollars goes to Zango.

It's part of the deal they have to protect their copyrights. :1orglaugh

"We reserve the right to terminate your account and future payments if traffic is stopped."

Am I the only one that thinks that is BS? BTW, rev-share sponsor.

Really??

Nothing surprises me with AFF anymore... glad I pulled my links months ago!

rowan 12-04-2006 07:28 PM

Interesting, I know of someone buying nocookie traffic to send to AFF, he said something vague about padding out traffic levels, now I know why...

King of Queens 12-04-2006 07:29 PM

Damn do we need a lawyer to read the tos and legal shit before signing up these days to a new sponsor?

Tuga 12-04-2006 07:36 PM

I cant believe how many people didnt know AFF did that. Very funny lol

bdld 12-04-2006 07:57 PM

i'd say this is more common with mainstream companies.

"we reserve the right to deactivate accounts who stop sending traffic"

the big players can just stop sending 20k daily and start sending 100 hits daily and by definition, they will be still sending traffic so there will be no ground for terminating their accounts

If a whale stopped sending then I think they'd be more likely to offer to suck his dick rather than close his account. :winkwink:

DirtyJs 12-04-2006 08:42 PM

Anybody realize that the guy above BDLD is the guy who was using zango to promote some affiliate programs a while back?

Martin 12-04-2006 08:56 PM

Thats some scary shit. Fucking scum bags.
