Recording from spy/button cam to MiniDV Cam

I am trying with 2 MiniDV cameras, Panasonic NV GS400, and a Sony DCR PC101, to record output from a spy/button camera. A spy cam is just a lens and ccd that sends output thru an AV cable to any video equipment.

So spycam sends the video output to the camera's AV IN. But the MiniDV cameras are not showing any image. When I attach the spy cam to a television using the same AV connector the camera broadcast is seen clearly.

The MiniDV cameras are able to record from other sourcs, like a DVD player or another MiniDV camera fine using AV connectors. But they are not receiving any input from the spycam..

I know this sounds confusing, but if anyone has any idea how to solve this problem please let me know!

Is this all a fancy way of saying you're trying to film upskirt content and it's not working?

plug the spycam into the tv, put the MiniDV cam in front of the tv, hit play on the spy cam, and record on the MiniDV.

The spycam doesnt record, it only transmits images. So it has no play button!

Well I tried 3 different shops, and none of them could get their spycams to work with my cameras.
