Hello, my name is Teh BoyAlley. I'm a gay homosexual, an extreme left wing liberal, an atheist, someone that feels that everyone that belongs to an organized religion needs their head examined and......

I celebrate Christmas.

JEBUS CRIPE LAWDS MERCY!

How many others out there that don't buy into the Jesus crap also celebrate Christmas?

For my partner and myself, it's all about celebrating family, and being together with loved ones, not celebrating the birth of baby Jebus.

But at times I admit feeling guilty celebrating it. It's the biggest tool Evangelical Christians, my sworn enemies, currently have going for them.

However, I don't think Christmas has a single thing to do with Jesus and hasn't in years ;)

Christmas has never had anything to do with Jesus or Christianity for that matter. The early Christian church hijacked Candlemas a wonderful pagan celebration of the mid winter solstice.

So, it's perfectly ok to celebrate Christmas even if you are not Christian.

I celebrate it but don't believe in the religous stuff. I still think it's a good holiday. The family part is good and it's a chance for everyone to get together. While I think there are a lot of bad parts about religion, I think the holiday is good for society.

It's ok, Christmas is not a true Christian holiday. It can't be, according to their "laws" they can ONLY celebrate days that Jesus specified, but they rarely (if ever) follow their own rules, so oh well.

Same with Easter. Both were taken from Pagan holidays, to help convert the suckers.

So it's ok if you celebrate it.

I am not a Christian but I put up a christmas tree etc and do the Christmas thing for my kids. I don't really see how that's hypocritical, though, because Christmas was NOT CHRIST'S birthday, but a rip on a pagan holiday, Yule. The Christian Church decided sometime during the dark ages that it was easier to adopt and "Christianize" pagan holidays than it was to enforce their own. Even proper "Christians" would NOT celebrate Christmas because they felt it was a PAGAN holiday. So all the Christians that have their panties in a bunch over your "hypocrasy" should go home and look in the mirror, or perhaps just do a little research.
