I'm wanting to goto a beautiful Island in the Philippines for my honeymoon (she has an uncle there is why we selected this country as opposed to a more exotic locale)... What islands? Why?

Philippines is truly a nice country to go to especially when you're looking for fine white sand beaches and exotic foods. The people are hospitable too. I recommend Boracay island or if you want to do some island hop then try the hundred islands in Pangasinan or if you want to experience the pre spanish life style then try to visit Ilocos. There's a lot of good places there. Just check out the net for more. Have fun!

borocay... is the best island to go.. palawan is good but you have to stay at a resort.. indie travell there is not too good.. but the best resort for ya .. is el nido.Comment

The Islands are great. It depends on what you expect from an island to give you a recommendation? Beach? Diving? Nice landscapes? No people? A lot of poeple? Luxury or simple accomodation?
Transportation is very bad in the Philippines so be prepared to spend a lot of time on switching from one form of transport to the next. Boracay is probably the easiest to reach destination with average accomodation.
